My wife and I really wanted a good quality dinner set as the one we had unfortunately collected an array of chips all over the edges from smacking them together whilst hand washing.We’ve had this set now for several months and I must say I am impressed. I have mistakingly smashed them against each other several times and have been pleasantly surprised that they haven’t chipped or broken.Made in England and made to a high standard. These plates are a must buy, buy the bowls and dinner plates too whilst your at it. The last picture shows the size difference of these plates to the dinner set.Was this review helpful? Beautiful dining plates to add to my set

They are excellent quality and matches the rest of the set.

I recently bought a lot of Denby pottery thinking I was getting a bargain. I bought two full sets of Denby 380048781 12 Piece Dinner Set, Grey. As well as two sets of Denby 380048903 Elements Light Grey 4 Piece Small Plate Set.Further to that I have also ordered replacements for both due to broken items/quality issues.I bought Denby due to its quality and it saddens me that standards have fallen to such a poor level. Every single plate/bowl has some defect in workmanship.Examples of faults are the following. Hairline cracks, Deformities in plates (Warping), rough surfaces on the base, Pitting in the glaze and specs in the glaze (Black spots/Stains).

I love this crockery, the design is a classic that will never be out of fashion and the quality is great. I’ve posted a photo taken in fluorescent light, I hope it helps to show the colours.I know Denby lasts, so I’m happy with my purchase and the price paid.
