Q: What is the ring diameter?

The rings are 1" diameter and stretch over a standard closet rod. The fit is very tight and they wont slide on rod easily so put them exactly where you want them. I have some heavy boots hanging from these rings and they stay put. These are great and I recommend them!

Q: How much weight can they hold?

I don't know the weight but they have a very strong grip. I use 3 on a wet bath towel and they hold. These clips are awesome! I've bought 2 packs and I'll probably buy more.

Q: How wide is the ribbon of plastic that forms the hook? I need it to slip through a hole.

Inside diameter of hook is 1 1/8" and outside diameter is 1 3/8"

Q: Do these leave marks on clothing or boots from the gripper teeth?

Have only used w/ thick bath towels. And in just checking, they do leave gripper marks in terrycloth. They have an extremely strong grip which I like.
