After One Year
I bought this portfolio after the great reviews. After having it for one year, I found it to be study to write on, stylish, and pretty handy. The edges being brass metal are also a nice touch, although people think it is a music folder at times. The outside still looks nice and with the high-use, it looks brand new. The materials are good, but perhaps the quality of construction could be improved upon. The notepad inside is junk - just replace with your favorite notepad. Though the product was great, just after one year, the binding started to tear. The seams that make the pockets and the interior binding are from what looks like melted or sealed plastic/nylon. With the tear, you can see the foam and hard cardboard inside. Though its a small tear, I surmise it will continue to grow with repeated folding.UPDATE: I contacted Samsil and after sending them a photo of the tare, they replaced it for free!

Great Professional Portfolio
I got this portfolio for a recent job interview, and it worked really well.It is very professional looking, comes with a lot of paper, and has enough space to hold my resumes and business cards. There is also a loop for a pen.The pen loop is a little inconvenient, though, because unless you are using a very slim pen, it will line up with the pad of paper, making that side thicker than the other when it is closed. It's a minor downside but still worth mentioning. The only other possible downside is how large it is. This is my first portfolio so I was surprised at how much bigger it was than I was expecting, but should still fit in most bags or backpacks.Overall, A professional looking and durable portfolio perfect for taking to job interviews or meetings.

Good bargain portfolio
For the money, this isn't a bad knockoff portfolio. I'm an attorney who makes a few appearances in court a week but I mostly bring this with me for show so it doesn't get a lot of heavy use. Mainly, I just stick a few papers in it like a folder. It's held up and I think it looks like I paid more money for it than I did, but there's no way this thing lasts years and years like something leather bound would. I'd highly recommend getting this for an interview or a career fair, or even for daily use if you know you're going to replace in a couple years. I have my business cards in the card slot and it hasn't ripped or come apart, and the pen elastic is a nice feature. I got the burgundy color and it has a classic look.

4 Stars and I'll explain why
I'm going to mention the "not so good" things and then I will get into the positives. When I say "not so good", these are really based on my needs, so I'll explain how I'll be using it so you can correlate that with your reason to potentially buy.I'm a physical therapist who provides in-home service. I was looking for a notepad cover to allow me to take notes when evaluating my patients because I will never sit in front of a computer while treating someone. With that said, I needed a cover that has a solid base, and I can hold and write on when sitting and standing because I may not always have a table to write on.1. I purchased this because the picture showed that it folds over 180 degrees. This is great for me because I'm also left-handed. It struggles to fold over because of the material. It takes some finesse to get it to fold over evenly. I read another review who mentions (with a picture) theirs split right where it folds over. I can definitely see this happening over a short time.2. The corners in the first picture of the listing look silver. They're indeed gold. That's just food for thought. Not a problem for me.Unless those things are a problem for you, this is an excellent product. It looks very nice, professional, and of great quality. It is solid. My favorite thing is it is light weight, and flat. It slides easily into my backpack, even into the laptop compartment. With that said, if I use it to fold over 180 degrees, which I most likely will do being left-handed and potential writing while standing, it's most likely going to split. However, it's a solid product, so I'm going to keep it and I'll just buy a second one. That way I have a back up when ready. It's worth the $15 and change even if it splits after 2 months.

Nicely made
UPDATE 7-22-18: here are the rest of the pictures that I couldn't upload previously.Since I can only post one picture, I decided to post the inside. The outside and inside look exactly like the advertised pictures. This portfolio is 12 1/4 inches in height and a little less than 9 1/2 wide. I like the brass corners. They add style to the portfolio. I'll have to get used to only being able to use one note pad at a time, but that's ok. It's sturdy and stylish. The inside pockets are black plastic. I bought it to go with the bison denim 14 inch briefcase, $72.99 .. (the black briefcase with the back zipper pocket) ... And let me tell you .. I only have one word for them matched together ... Classy. I put the title of the briefcase below, if you want to check it out. My review should be up for it soon. The briefcase also looks exactly like the picture.BISON DENIM Mans Leather Briefcase 14 Inch Laptop Bag Men's Business Work Bag Classic Handbag with Shoulder Strap

It got me the job
When I started doing interviews I wanted something more sleek than just a yellow folder to hold my resume. This portfolio definitely did the trick! Looks great, and had plenty of places to hold papers, pens, and even a notepad (an added bonus that I wasn't looking for). I felt like it made me look way more professional and more prepared for my interview. The note pad was a great addition as well because I was able to take notes during the interviews for any questions I may have or interesting details about the job I may want to jot down. I would dare say that this portfolio was the only reason I was offered the job.
