**Q: 12v application. could i use this to switch off a circuit  from my 12v tranformer which contains led lights totaling 45 watts?**
A: I don't see why not. I use it as a switch for a 120 volt 1/2 HP motor

A: Description says it’s only rated for 10 amps so no

**Q: Is this switch one that has to be wired through a contactor , or a stand alone and ready for direct wiring.?**
A: I'm thinking your asking if this a momentary switch? To answer that no it is not. If you push the button in it stays in until you hit the off button. No need to use a standalone motor starter if using within the rated voltage and current.

**Q: I pressed my on button and it stuck.  i opened it and got it unstuck but now it will not lock.  what can i do to make it work?**
A: Ask for a new one. The plastic tip that catches and holds it down is broken or worn.

Failed in the ON position on second use. Had to cut power at circuit box to shut down. When I opened the box, the spring and retention contact flew out. I could not get it to go back together. Junk.

I'm constructing an inline on/off switch for my air compressor -- this switch will work perfectly in tandem with the Legrand-Pass and Seymour L620P & L620C plug and connector, respectively. I haven't yet assembled it, but my initial assessment is everything will go together seamlessly. The ON portion of the switch stays engaged when pressed; the OFF portion disengages the ON switch when it is depressed. (The OFF switch does not stay engaged -- it is a press / release type switch.) Nicely manufactured -- the overall product should operate the way I envision it functioning.
