Great deal on the fuel filter except the check valve did not fit my hoses so I reused the old check valve. I have a 2003 VW TDI for reference.

1. The product does NOT properly fit a 2004 VW Beetle with the 1.9 turbo diesel, as the product listing claims. The barb fittings on the fuel return check valve are too small, and required I use worm drive hose clamps and severely overtighten them in order to seal the hoses on the barbs.2. Even after resolving item 1, the filter was leaking diesel from under the check valve and from the water drain valve on the bottom. numerous attempts to adjust these fittings failed to resolve the leaking, which was pretty substantial.3. I cannot explain why this was the case, but the filter was getting hot...hot enough that I had to allow it to cool down, before trying to make further adjustments. The old filter I replaced did not have this problem, nor did the Mahle filter and check valve from AutohausAZ, which I installed upon removing this.Ordering this item was a total waste of money, and resulted in avoidable down time for my vehicle.Very displeased with the product. Grateful Amazon refunded my purchase, even though I couldn't return a filter full of diesel without hazmat shipping considerations and costs.

It only took me about 20 minutes to install new fuel filter. Car runs great now.

Fuel filter fit, and came with check valve and clip, worked except included check valve had the incorrect diameter barb connections for a 2003 ALH engine fuel line. Barb diameter was too small, and I had to reuse the old check valve.

Got it and the fitting were the wrong size for my fuel lines so I had to put 2 gear clamps on each fuel line so just watch for that but it worked

If you notice that the plastic pieces gone from the old one. It's because I had to use it for the new filter. The hoses are too big for the plastic splitter. Not sure if my car had an upgrade of the Fuellines but that what I had to do.
