Great charger!
This charger works flawlessly! It's awesome they made it so you can change it from a plug in charger to a hardwired charger if you change your mind. I bought the plug in version and decided to hard wire it at the last minute. It's pretty easy to install yourself if you know what you're doing. I used the normal chargepoint app to initialize everything at the beginning. It comes with pretty detailed instructions for installation. Just remember you need a 50 amp service to run 40 amp charging(9.56kw), a 60 amp service to run 48 amp charging(11.5kw), and I believe a 70 amp service to run the full 50 amp charging(12kw) if your car allows it. My car can do the 11.5kw charging, but I decided to do the 9.56kw and hardwire because you can use romex (if it's inside only) to wire it. Once you get to 60 amp breakers, you need to run conduit all the way to the main breaker box and use thhn wire instead of romex. I hardwired because these chargers don't want you using a gfci breaker at the main panel because they have one built in. My area has code where if you're plugging it in a garage, you need a gfci breaker. If you hardwire it then you can use a regular breaker, which is ten times cheaper.

Perfect for Mercedes EQS
Got this over the Mercedes dealer charger at over twice the price. This installed easily and setup was good. The only caveat is to do the setup and then do it again if you are using a 30A circuit rather than 40A cloths dryer circuit. The charger wanted to do 40A but would not engage and my 32A option was not originally offered. The restart solved this. Overall, a very nice unit and is working well for a month now. Highly recommend.

Simple Installation and Set Up
I researched dozens of charging units before finally settling for the ChargePoint. I liked its look, slick design, and cable storage. What really sold me with the design is the holster. The way it swivels down and not stick out. The cable length is perfect, and the connector has a nice feel and look.I Installed a 50A circuit and a Bryant Electric NEMA 14-50R outlet that I purchased from Amazon as well to utilize the 40A charging capability. It charges at 29-30 miles per hour. The App is really simple. It was a matter of minutes to set it up on WiFi and the schedule. I went back and forth with setting the schedule on the ChargePoint or on my Genesis GV60. Both schedulers are adequate, but in the end I chose to use the ChargePoint scheduler because when I used my car scheduler the ChargePoint shows as charging time when it's actually idle time. It logs time from connect to disconnect (not charge start/stop when using the car scheduler). There's no issue as far as it's drawing power, its more my anal retentiveness in seeing the idle time shown as charge time in the charge log. It also set your rate plan for your particular utility company to ensure it'll never charge out of your time of your low rates. The one caveat was the time change. I'm in California, and when it was time to fall back, it didn't. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with, when we spring forward we're on the same timezone as Arizona (whose time doesn't change). So when I was expecting it to alert me at 8pm as a reminder to plug in to my car it didn't. By it not auto adjusting the time; if it was plugged into my car, it would have started charging at 8pm, which is an hour before my low rate (9pm) kicks in. There wasn't a quick way to change my time zone. I had to go on YouTube to find a video of someone having the same issue. In order to get the time to adjust to the right time, I had to change my address to a random address in a different timezone and then reboot the charger. Then I had to change the address back to my address and reboot the charger again, and the time issue was resolved. Hopefully they'll come with a software update to fix the time issue.I've been really satisfied with my selection, and I definitely recommend this charging unit.

Very solid, reliable charger
I've had this charger for almost a year to charge my Mustang Mach-E. It has been rock solid the entire time. I had an electrician install a 14-50 outlet and I installed the charger. It was straightforward if you follow the included directions. Setting it up in the app was super easy too.I had initially tried some of the scheduling through the app but it made more sense in my case to let the car manage the schedule. One thing I do like about the app is that it gives me actual real usage numbers. Ford's app is notoriously trash when it comes to giving the kWh detail of each charge session (as if my car could even take 120 kWh in one night!).My favorite thing though, is probably the dumbest thing, and something I didn't even expect until I started looking into other chargers as new things came out. That is the built-in "dock" for the charging plug - I love that it swivels up and down. Why? So many other chargers seem to just make the plug stick straight out when it's not in use. And I just don't like the idea of nearly bumping into it every time I'd be moving around the garage. Since this one swivels, it lets the plug and cable hang down more and does a better job of keeping it all out of the way.

Good unit but the software is weak.
Good charger with good support, but the software all communicates through the cloud. I'm not happy with the latency when trying to start or stop a session from my phone and I'm standing right next to the device. Also, you cannot have more than 1 charger on your account. I purchased 2 chargers for my office and home and have to have a different email address and account for each. In general I think the software needs work.
