GrivelA&D Ascender Descender

As an ascender it worked well and as expected. Found it very difficult to use as a descender because unless you can relieve all of your weight off of the rope you can barely release it during descending. Thought this would be a good dual purpose item but after trying it out for a day decided to purchase a separate descender.Always remember to be safe when using these types of products. Climbing can be an enjoyable and fulfilling experience but can also be very dangerous so know how to use your equipment to help avoid potentially life threatening situations.

They are the only ascenders I've ever used for tree work. Only vertical ascents and descents but absolutely zero issues so far.
