Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate (PS4)

Fresh from playing Persona Strikers I was looking for another 'warriors' style style games to fill the voidIt was only then that I realised that I'd never played any from the mainline series (Don't think All-stars counts) so I wasn't sure where to start - I settled on this even though the general feeling is that 3 is a better game (I don't like playing previous gen games now that I'm a ps4 - snob and when I did play WO3, it was very clunky)This game is very slick, with a fantastic and stylish combat system - Now if you are like me and wished that every character in every game played like Virgil from DMC5 (of course you do, everyone does) then you will have absolute blast playing through with Zhou Tai - but there is a huge roster with massive variety for every play style (if you lack motivation!!!)The story is bare bones - but honestly you aren't picking up these titles for the story, just as long as there's something to move you onto the next battleOnce you've completed the game there is also the infinity mode, which is there for grinding up levels for characters - one of the achievments does require an enormous grind if you are doing it by yourself, however it isn't necessary for completing the main campaign - I did it, it took ages but at the same time I didn't get bored as there's about 170 characters that you can mess around with, some are tremendous fun, some are pantsOverall: IF you can get an hour for every pound that you spend on a game then you are getting value for money - I spent about £15 quid on this, got hours and hours out of it and am still playing it even though I've completed everything and there's nothing really left to do - high recommendation if you are looking to mash your way through hordes of enemies

Being a long time dynasty warriors fan and loving things like hyrule legends ect I was surprised that I had never heard of these games and wow they are just like the dynasty warriors I know and love definitely a new series of hack n slashers that I have fallen head over heels for 👌🏻

Though this is one of my favourite game series, and the gameplay is probably the best it's ever been, the story is not quite up to the level of the previous entry. The new characters are pretty awesome though.

This has to be one of my favourite Warriors Orochi games in the series! Having played these games since the original Dynasty Warriors series, the gameplay and graphics are probably the best they've ever been, and the new character roster is awesome so overall very impressed so far!

1st one arrived damage but replacement was sorted and came very quickly and love the game

I had to directly compare this to the previous iteration (WOU3) and while there are a number of improvements to the roster, graphics and combat, Koei Techmo in typical fashion has again cut corners, gating off features behind additional paywalls and delivering interactions between characters in very basic fashion.Still, if you like this sort of game you will have fun with it regardless.

Grandson pleased with this

I bought this for my buddy not knowing it was the UK version, he is trying to beat this game and max absolutely everything out. I thought I'd go ahead and connect him to the internet and buy him some dlc stuff, definitely cant do that here in u.s. look im not normally a complainer but this really really dissapointed him and he doesnt want to start a whole new save even if i buy him the u.s version. A whole year of progress. He's a hardcore fan and a vet with ptsd and here i thought i was doing something cool for him, ya sure thats on me but please put u.k or u.s in the game titles if your distributing on amazon, thats not a demand thats just a suggestion.

The ultimate version completes an already good warriors game.Story wise it’s a bit worse than the previous installment, but not terrible.Great game for the price.
