They're not kidding - ESCAPE FREE!
Okay you guys, I have been through over 25 (not even kidding) different harnesses. My 7 pound chihuahua is anxiety ridden on walks & backs out, pulls through, steps out of ALL 25 harnesses no matter how tight or how much I rig them. I even tried putting a thundershirt ON TOP of her step in harness... and I kid you not this dog got out of the harness. She is prone to running in the middle of the street once she is free, to get away from whatever scared her (a leaf fell off a tree? she's gone).. which is TERRIFYING.Finally, finally, a harness that is actually escape proof... this is the one. It is pure magic. I watched my tiny chi wiggle, back up, try and step through this harness and it is IMPOSSIBLE with this specific design and all the ways you can tighten it to fit your dog. I will say I have tried the standard Gooby escape free harness and the sizing is SO different.. with that one, there is no way to tighten it enough to fit her - but this one has the 4 points of adjustments which make it so that I can tighten it enough to fit her perfectly. For reference.. I have used all of the below listed harnesses & she has been able to get out of them ALL:Ruffwear webmaster harness in xxsRuffwear front range harnessEasywalk harnessEzydog quick fitKurgo Tru fitKong Comfort padded harnessKong step in, reflective harness(I could keep going but I won't haha!)BUY THIS ONE!

NOT ESCAPE PROOF BUT THAT CAN BE MANAGED IF USED CORRECTLY
It was not ESCAPE PROOF for my terrier mix. On the second day, she pulled, twisted and was out of the harness. We're thinking of changing her name from Honey to Houdini! This was the 4th harness we've tried. HOWEVER, if you use it as I've discovered that you can, it is the best harness of the 3 others we purchased. The idea is that it is NOT a choke collar which I was opposed to. If you pull the leash, it pulls on the 2 loops and brings the harness up on the belly which keeps her from getting out of it without hurting her. You have to make sure that your dog is not pulling away from you...that is how they slip out of it. If you are above the dog, you can pull up and there will be no escape. I wish they had included that information with the harness because seeing your dog run off after a squirrel or rabbit is quite stressful! Once we got the hang of it, it is the go-to collar we use. Hope this helps you when you shop for dog harness items!

Great for Pugs!
I have two one-year-old pugs. One is about 13 lbs. the other is about 12 lbs. The Medium size fits both of them perfectly and there is a little room for growth. I have tried several different types of harnesses but my pugs escaped from them. These harnesses are comfortable for the dogs AND they are escape-free. These harnesses are designed well. They are worth the price.I first ordered a size small, but it was too small for either of my pugs. So I returned it with no problems. I then tried a medium size, thinking it would fit at least one of my pugs. It fit both of them, so I purchased another medium. Love 'em!

Easy to escape
Super cute, BUT my dog escaped 5 minute into wearing it. Unless you tighten it to the max, (which makes it super uncomfortable for your pooch) your dog will get out of this harness. It was particularly inconvenient since a huge dog was walking by.

If he's determined, your Houdini dog will escape
My Houdini Chihuahua mix didn't escape from this harness the first time he wore it on a walk, probably because he was surprised that he couldn't easily back out of it. But he's no quitter! His persistence paid off by the second time he wore it. He tried all the tricks he knew to free himself. He finally succeeded and off he ran! He will wear this or any other harness only as long as he wants to do what I want him to do.According to the Gooby sizing information, he should wear a size medium. He's 14 lbs with an 18" chest. I purchased two mediums, one in red and one in blue, so I would have a backup. I adjusted the harness as tightly as it would go, and frankly I was worried that it was too tight and uncomfortable for my dog. (It looked tight and uncomfortable!)I like the x-style harness because I don't want anything around my dog's throat when he sees a squirrel or a bird and pulls because he wants to go get it. The harness buckles and clips are plastic, not metal like on some of the other Gooby harnesses. I prefer metal.I'm returning the blue harness, but I'll keep the red one as a spare for my other dog, the "chewer," who likes to be naked and whose preferred method of escape so he can run free is a blunt force attack on any harness, leash, or collar he can get to.

Fantastic product but runs incredibly small
This is a fantastic harness. My Cairn Terrier is quite the puller when excited and this helps and doesn’t hurt him. It seems to be very comfortable and I like the way it looks. Just a warning: it runs incredibly small. My dog is under 20lbs. and is trim. According to the charts, he would wear a small. Taking the advice from reviewers, I ordered a medium. It wouldn’t even close around him. Even though he has never worn a large in anything, I exchanged for this size. It fit perfectly. Go figure, but we love the product. I also bought the leash only because it matched. It ended up being one of the best leashed we have owned.

Soft, Comfortable, Clever Design & Effective Harness
I was drawn to this harness due to the "V Neck" concept and the soft material. Several other harnesses that I've purchased ride up and rub on his throat when he pulls, defeating the whole purpose of a harness.I wasn't sure if this harness would fit my French Bulldog or not because his chest measurement was 24". I ordered the Large anyway and to my surprise the rubber stoppers were adjustable enough to accommodate the few extra inches necessary to fit him comfortably. I love the bright color and softness of the neoprene. The straps relax when not being pulled, so it is comfortable for him to wear all day, every day. The design is clever and effective and this product will replace the other harnesses I bought and tried in the past because this one fits him perfectly. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was I wish it was made with sturdier non-plastic clips, rings & sliders; plus I thought the price was too high. So far I have not been disappointed by Gooby!

No escapes yet!
Works well, my dog can reverse out of all harnesses except for this one. I would rate 5 stars, but it does pull a little on his fur. It's not a harness he can wear for long. I also wish the plastic parts were a bit sturdier. It is awkward to get on and to keep unclipping from the lead, but I still find myself using it more than his Ruffwear front range harness.I would recommend for houdini dogs, just not really long haired dogs.

Good fit and didn't escape
This harness fitted our smallish crossbreed and she didn't mind wearing it. She couldn't escape from it because it tightens around her body. Seems good quality and washes well. Am very happy with it

NOT escape free!
This harness is fine as it goes, but my miniature poodle x bedlington terrier got out of it twice within the space of a few minutes. However, she does pull less when wearing this as opposed to her other harnesses.

Disappointed
Pro: great colours, soft, fits okCons: not escape proof, plastic D ring is too small to fit some leads, buckle digs in onto their back when they pull, long hair dogs their hair gets pulled through the rings when they pull.
