Only they wouldn't be adorable fluffy baby bunnies
You see it all started one night at 3am when I woke up feeling thirsty. I went out to my garage fridge to get a glass of milk (it stays colder in that fridge, long story) and of course I assumed that I'd be able to fall right back to sleep because I wouldn't be alarmed by two rats the size of my small dog wrestling on one of the tool shelves. But you know what they say about assuming.... it makes an ass out of those damn rodents in my garage.I remember when I was little, sometimes my male and female rabbit would get out at the same time and start rolling around together. My dad would tell me not to let them do that, and to only take them out separately. ""But why dad?"" I said.....and after some mumbling under his breath and a couple of ""well...uhhh....ummmm...""s he told me that they were ""fighting"". So I knew once I saw these two rats ""fighting"", it would end with the same result- only they wouldn't be adorable fluffy baby bunnies. It was time to take some action.Plan A- buy traps. Plan B- move far, far away. With a little leftover bacon grease in the handy cup that goes in the bottom (no worring about snapping your fingers like those classic wooden traps!), I caught 3 rats within the first two days. And these weren't regular rats- these were Florida mutant-sized rats. I grew up in Detroit attending Eastern market several times a year; so needless to say, Jurassic-sized rats normally don't phase me. But wow. These things were huge. I'm still not convinced they weren't labradors in rat costumes, but I didn't get that good of a look- which is another bonus of these traps.Anyway, the traps were still right where I had placed them, so it's good to know that whatever they were, they died instantly. I continued to reset the traps and got a rat every night until finally....none. Now I can feel confident getting milk at 3am without the fear of interrupting any rat love-making sessions.Great customer service, too. A couple of the traps in the first batch I recieved wouldn't set, even on the first try. So I sent the company an email and they sent me a new set of traps right away.

Worked in no time flat
"Had mice move into my car's engine bay ($700 to replace the chewed wires) so I need to find them a new home. Bought the plastic tube traps https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JPJX27Z , but once the mice were caught they had nothing to do but chew on things and they'd chew the plastic bit that set the trap - the traps ended up being one-time use (maybe that's why they give you two?). The broke both of mine the first time I caught them. The cage trap worked great. In other videos my camera recorded you can see him climbing all around, so he's not confined to a narrow tube while he waits to be moved to a new home. Also, the little guy can eat the food bait, so he won't starve. The plastic traps keep the food separate from the trapped animal. If you're trying to be humane, seems like you'd at least want to feed your guest until he can be relocated. With the plastic trap, the guy I caught was barely moving when I went to release him, and didn't scurry away when I put him on the ground... probably didn't make it.I've read elsewhere it's important to move them a mile or two from where you are, or they'll come back. Going over a river before releasing is also really helpful in preventing returning guests. And of course, finding a great place with food and shelter will encourage them to stay where they are versus going back to your engine bay.

It's been around a month. But no Catches
Its been a month nothing has been trapped. They trip the trap because it is very sensitive. Place is important. I set it off contantly while putting food in and moving it to the right spot.Ive tried to hide it but that is also tricky since its easy to trip and it need to close completely or they can totally escape. In all fairness I haven't caught my adult or adolescent rats in any traps yet. Just a tail and hair. The snappers usually break after a few snaps this has been around the longest.

Not Sturdy
Trap worked as it should, the squirrel totally destroyed the trap plate and bent it out of shaped. Also the trigger bar was ripped off from the top of the caged. The wire of the cage was chewed and spread out. I had to throw the cage out after one use because all the mechanics of the cage is no longer functioning. I would not recommend this product because it is not made well and does not stand up to one use of abuse by a squirrel.

Great for catching escaped pets!
Had a baby rat escape her maternity cage. I was unable to catch her after a week. Gave up and bought this trap not sure if it would work. Caught her in one night and now she's safe and sound back with her mom and sisters! 10/10 would recommend for escaped small pets. Light weight, easy to set up, and an easier way to recapture escaped pet rats!

It's the best!
It's the best. I've caught 8 squirrels so far. I've bought cheaper cages before, but could only use them once or twice because the squirrels tear up the cage.

Made from light material, but still works awesome.
I’m now writing another review on how satisfied I am w/my love trap. My wife and I have caught 16 ground squirrels with it and it’s still doing a great job. It is made from lighter material, but still can contain a ground squirrel.
