The outstanding dummy was made taking into account the strategies contenders utilization to prepare, and this makes a more sensible and compelling preparing knowledge. Its appendages can be curved effectively for accommodation, and they are additionally sufficiently solid to oppose blows. It can hold numerous positions to furnish warriors with more noteworthy mixed bag in their systems.

Love this guy!
This guy is really pretty cool. It was not an easy project for stuffing, good thing I had a lot of old clothes and blankets I didn't need anymore. So I guess you would say I repurposed them. I had read several posts suggesting use pool noodles to make a frame. All I've got to say about that is don't, almost impossible to stuff around them. I finally pulled them out and decided to heck with making a frame. I stuffed the legs and feet with torn up t-shirts, then I poured sand in to add extra weight to the knees. Then I stuffed the thighs, then I poured in sand to add extra weight to the rear. At that point you need to stuff the head and the arms, saving the body to last. I poured sand into the hands then stuffed the arms and head. Then I ran out of t-shirts and had to move on to the blankets. I stuffed the body halfway, then I poured in 10 pounds of rice and stuffed the rest of the body. Then dummy maintains a seated position without an internal frame.

Great for when you wanna cuddle and struggle
Great for practicing BJJ moves outside of class without risking getting beaten up or possibly sued for assault. Other fun uses:1) Home defense - leave on your couch so burglars think someone is home;2) Pranks - leave on couch so your spouse screams thinking someone broke in and is now watching tv in your living room;3) Babysitting - leave on couch so toddler can sit on its lap when watching cartoons;4) Petsitting - leave on couch so dogs can cuddle with it and reminisce about the days before the toddler showed up and they got all the attention.Seriously, don't leave this thing on the couch, it's terrifying. Works great though and the color doesn't rub off the fabric so it's a good buy.

very good material. I purchase 47" blue canvas size
Solid build. very good material. I purchase 47" blue canvas size. It's too small so I return and get 59". I think 70" is perfect. I use the swimming noodles and 1" diameter rod to construct the skeleton arm and leg. then I put in used clothes and sand bag ( small one). I practise all kind of submission like armbars, triangle chokes, leg lock .... It turns out very good dummy. I spend about 3 hrs to build this dummy.

Great dummy
I made a skeleton out of PVC pipe so the dummy is able to be put in positions. My grandson loves him. The only problem so far is I’ve had to reinforce the sleeves the material tore out.

Very Functional Dummy
Excellent dummy. I had it professionally stuffed; therefore, it ended up costing me more to have it functional. Although it supposedly could be stuffed to about 99 lbs, I had my dummy stuffed with materials that would make it more like about 70 lbs. I use it for muscle memory as opposed to lifting, etc.The dummy was delivered from overseas pretty fast and the package (since it was unfilled) was relatively small. All in all - a very good dummy.UPDATE June 6, 2016: While doing Sambo leg-lock drills, I hyper extended the dummy's leg a little and it ripped. I patched it by wrapping it up with Gorilla Tape and it's good to go again. The stitching is not strong enough for you to apply full force in hyper-extended locks. I will not deduct a star, but buyers should be aware of what to expect. If you don't like the way it looks after wrapping it with Gorilla Tape then you can put a grappling gi on it.

Tore with moderate use in less than a month.
Had this for less than a month and the stitching on the arms tore at the arm pits.Very disappointed.... I read a lot of good reviews on this and thought it would hold up nicely for arm bar practice. I was wrong... It seemed to work, but I only used it maybe 10-20 min at a time, 2-3 times a week. I'm not rough on it either, I'm a beginner and move slow to practice technique. I'm returning it, which really sucks after having spent 2+ hours just to pack it. I'd packed it with shredded paper and old clothes. I did put sand for the feet because it was nearly impossible to get anything in there and pack it well.Guess I'll start looking for someone that can make a better grappling dummy.

Great for the price
Great for the price. Got this for me and my son to do bjj drills and didnt want to spend $500. Bought the biggest version and it takes a lot of stuffing! I had 2 king size cotton filled mattress toppers I was going to throw out so i figured one of those would be plenty. I used one entire topper and 1/3 of the other packing it very tight.Hardest part of stuffing it was getting down to the feet, after that its not bad. But I already knew that from other reviews. So far only thing I noticed is for certain submissions is the arms could be longer so i took off 1 star.

Hard to fill
Great for the price, but filling it yourself is a challenge. First, it was hard to find a place that had used clothing or fabric. So the first time I filled it, I purchased foam stuffers from a local Hobby Lobby. This was good as the bag was able to be positioned as shown in the picture. This was bad because using this type of filler felt like you're rolling with a big teddy bear, fairly light. So after reading some forums, what others have done was purchase a second hand punching bag and use the fillers from there. The bag had scraped fabrics so a filler, which did make the bag heavy. The bad side now is that the bag always falls over and which doesn't allow for any drilling from the guard. So now I'm thinking about refilling it with the foam stuffing. So as one reviewer said, you end up redoing the bag a couple of times until you get the combination to fit your needs.

Grappling Dummy / Silent Training Partner
Hi All,When I purchased this Dummy I think there was only one review which help not one bit. Fortunately people like myself have now bought and written reviews (on Amazon.com) so I hope my review plus the others will help you decide whether or not to part with what I imagine is a lot of money to most!So I plunged for the 180cm (largest) kneeling leather black and red dummy - see photo! It came folded and wrapped in plastic which I guess was sufficient, mine had a slight wear/rub mark but nothing major or I'd have sent it back.I'm still not sure whether I made a mistake of filling this dummy with around 50 - 60kg of rubber granulates used for punch bags, the pros are its is so easy to pour the rubber into all the hard to reach places however unlike the rags the granulates tend to migrate mostly to the legs. To reduce this loss I've now placed rags at the joints of the legs arms and head (do this as you fill to save time and effort later). The cons of using the granulates is the shear weight of the dummy, I have to say I want it heavy as I'm pretty big myself so for me it replicates training big guys quite well, however if you want to utilise the dummy purely as a technical training device stick to rags so you can practice your moves without succumbing to fatigue.I'm also not sure if leather is the way to go, I'd like to know how wearing the canvas dummies are.All in all I'm happy with the dummy, there is a slight tear on the inside of its right knee already (after a few sessions, see photo) and I'm not sure wether this is a result of use or the weight. Incidentally I just roll with it, no hitting, and I roll on mats and not hard floor!

Very well made
Its actually really well made but, i must warn you, it does not come stuffed, you have to fill it yourself, and, at first glance you might not appreciate that it scomes in such a tiny package, I bought the biggest one (70KG for Jujutsu training) its made of extremely durable material, it sook me a few days to fill it as I had to go through all my old cupboards and find old clothes and towels and things to stuff it with, once its stuffed and you put an old GI top on it, it looks an feels the business. obviously its a dummy so doesnt fight back but allows you to practice different transitions and it excellent for solo training when you just wished you had a partner to roll with or do basic repetitive drills. My min aim was to practice the triangle at home but i can see it will be good for practicing other techniques for BJJ or JJJ (Japanese JuJutsu).Remenber:- It doesnt come stuffed- You will need to put and old GI on it to get the most out of training the grips etc.

Good; could be improved
Filling it was a pain, especially in trying to reach the feet from the inside. I was worried that filling it with old clothes might make it too light, but I'm glad I did because drilling with something heavier would have been much less effective, though that might depend on your goals.Either the arms are disproportionately short or the legs are disproportionately long, so the design can be improved, but it serves its purpose. Another thing I noticed was that, after some use, the fillings shift away from the joints and they lost tension, which is unfortunate. I imagine stuffing it with more stuff may solve the problem but I haven't tried that yet.The position is very adaptable for many BJJ drills, though it could be slightly improved as the arms could be in a more defensive position. As a white belt whose job often prevents me from attending class, I've been able to drill many techniques from the guard, side control, mount, north/south and half guard, and I've been able to implement some of those techniques successfully on live sparring, so I'm quite satisfied with it.

Low Quality
- Disproportional "t-rex arms", which are way too short for its body size (70" Up to 55 Kg/121 Lbs) making somewhat difficult to train many arm locks, like some variations of the "Americana" for instance. Because the arms are bent in the picture, they give a deceiving impression that they are longer, but they are actually almost half of the length of my own arms (and I'm shorter than the dummy).- Overall quality of the sewing work leaves a lot to be desired and dummy already has multiple tears at different places after only one week of use.- Poorly designed. Could have zippers behind the thighs, given that is quite difficult to fill the feet and lower legs using the opening on the back. Another way to make it easier for consumers would be to pre-fill the legs up to the shin or knee (pre-fill all limbs would make it even better). Also, a more realistic neck wouldn't hurt the product either (would help training chokes using proper form).

Make sure to use light fluffy stuffing like that for stuffed toys
This is a decent dummy for the money. Make sure to use light fluffy stuffing like that for stuffed toys. Anything heavy will lead to stressing out the stitching prematurely. Im happy with this dummy and would buy another one.

Filling the dummy is easy until you reach the back
One foot sewing scratches (see pictures). And i spotted another fragile place.Filling the dummy is easy until you reach the back. Not finished yet but looks good for my body movement and drilling needs.

Poor stitching, starts to split after just a little light use
On the one hand it was easy enough to fill out with old clothes and does work ok for some basic drills. But the quality is very bad, the stitching started to unravel on the first day and now after a few days occasional use there are several splits. In addition, the seller made a mistake with the shipping address so that the DHL shipment addess was initially wrong and had to be corrected and would have been sent to the wrong country if I had not noticed and called DHL.
