Hill's Science Diet Dog Food, Adult, Light for Healthy Weight & Weight Management, 5 LB Bag (4593)

Thanks to this product, my 14 pound Chihuahua mix has maintained her perfect weight for several years. She's 10 years old, strong, vigorous and cuddly, and routinely receives excellent health evaluations from her veterinarian. I attribute most of this to this food, which she has been on since she weighed 16 pounds a year after we rescued her from the shelter. Yes, we were overzealous in feeding her at first because she'd had a difficult life for her first year and a half. Happy dog, happy humans.

When I adopted a terrier mix a few years ago, I had a lot of trouble getting her to eat many of the brand's recommended. The only thing she likes is science diet small bites advanced fitness food. When Amazon accidentally adjusted the subscribe and save schedule when adding an item I was going to be left with a two week gap, so I ordeded this which is very similar (except kibble size) and I have been mixing it with the last bag of small bite food and she thinks these are treats! She does tend to drink a bit more water though. I think the larger kibble size is helping her teeth too.

My fat dog loves this food even though it is "light"he is almost 20 lbs overweight and does well with this food even with his G.I. issues.I have a boxer who weighs 78 lbs and he looks like a giant sausage. Hopefully this food will help.It sounds like diet food, but does not taste like it or else my dog would never eat it.My puppy (8month old boxer) eats it too...she loves it!!!Their stools are nice and firm with no strong odor...that is a sign of a high-quality food.I stand by this brand. I mix it with Royal Canin Boxer.GREAT food.Trust this brand for your fat dog.

This doesn’t upset my dogs stomach but he won’t eat it alone. He will only eat it w/ the wet dog food from science diet and even then he tries to avoid it this food.

It's expensive, but my vet recommended it for an overweight dog.

My beagle loves this food and it has helped him lose weight. I feed him this food and supplement it with green beans for treats and it has made a big difference. Definitely worth a bit more money to me to have a food he will eat and help him lose weight

While baby sitting two French bull dogs I needed more science diet. Took a shot at this adult choice and the picky puppies loved it.

My dogs have been on Science diet for quite awhile now, and I have been very happy with the product(s) till now. Even recommending them. I ordered the "light" dry for my smaller dog who's been putting on the pounds. I have just opened the bag and it has an awful funky smell. I checked the date and the expiry is not till Nov/2019. The dog will not even eat it. She is not a fussy eater and has been on the Science Advanced fitness for at least a year with no problems. Even tried to mix it with her regular food but she eats around this stuff. I am wondering if this is just a bad batch. Cannot return has bag is opened. Do not like writing a negative review for a company I swear by ....my other dog is on the large breed lamb and rice and again no problems. I just hope this is a one off. Or I will be switching brands. I just hope no dogs get sick from it. Its off the menu for mine.
