Great kit!
I love this suture kit! I teach a vet science class and have used other suture pads in the past. Students have typically not liked the other suture pads I have used because they are too thick and hard to push the needle through. These suture pads are a little smaller than ones I have purchased in the past but the material makes it much easier for beginners to push their needle through and complete their sutures. Plus it comes with 6 packages of suture and all the tools required (needle holders, forceps, scissors). I thought this kit was awesome, especially for the price! I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future.

Not bad as a kit!
Our 7 y.o. granddaughter is absolutely certain that she's going to be a veterinarian. This inexpensive kit allowed her to practice suturing the fake cut on fake skin. Yes, she got pretty good. The tools are of lower quality, but work. In 15 years or so when she tries to sew in a real vet school setting, it will be easier.

Decent for practice
A decent pad for practice but the tweezers they give you aren't the right kind for suturing.

excellent for beginners
I find this kit excellent for beginners. It's about the size of a hand. the material of the pad isn't the best but it's decent for the price. if you want to practice suturing for the first time, this is for you.

Very fun training aid
Loved learning how to apply stitches, and this is far less stressful than trying to learn on a trail or backpacking trip. “If you train, gear up, and don’t know first aid, you’re a drag on your team”-me
