I purchased the more expensive version of this from another seller, but had an issue with it, so I took a chance and bought this item which looked the same but was much cheaper as a replacement, and indeed appears to be the same unit but much cheaper. A couple of important items to keep in mind: 1) the coiled line for these units are in fact a capillary tube, so one should take great caution in handling it - particularly, repositioning the tube during installation to ensure it does not crimp, as it will not function properly if the tiny internal passage in the tube is blocked; 2) for my older Kenmore, the passage for the knob which attaches to this thermostat had to be slightly drilled to enlarge its ID so it could be slipped over the shaft on this thermostat until the knob is flush with the backplate. This is because, if the knob sticks out too far from the backplate, the fridge door will push against the knob when closed, pushing against the thermostat and affecting the operation.Once installed, this unit kept perfect temperature like the original, even better, considering the original, in retrospect, should have been changed years ago. This unit keeps the temperature within a narrow range, while the older worn out unit, because it was worn, fluctuated the temperature much more than optimal so the food likely spoiled sooner. I only realized the problem with the old thermostat after it had to be tapped to click to turn on the compressor.

It has been installed for a few months now. It works pretty well, and our fridge and freezer are staying in the proper temperature ranges. The only issue is that the knob does not press on all the way, so the door just barely touches it, and applies enough pressure to impact the thermostat trigger point. It has not been an issue so far, but it is a bit concerning.

Great price but the knob doesnt fit the new control. They should send a knob with it or make the part to the right specs. You have to force the knob on and it will not go all the way on so you get a flush looking fit.

Repaired my refrigerator. Install went well. What I don't like about this is that it seems to be a bit out of range. I have to set it at the very warmest setting possible to keep my refrigerator section from freezing. Wish i had some adjustment there.

This was not the exact fit for my refrigerator but I knew that when I bought it. One for my fridge was discontinued . Price much lower than appliance repair sites.

One of thermostat does not work at all, the second look like it's working but I can not trusted and I do not want to instal it in the refrigerator and them the customer to callback for frozen foods in the fridge side. I do not trust them and I will return this parts to the supplier.
