The EX4 calibration sensor interacts directly with ColorNavigator software and takes care of calibrating ColorEdge monitors. Hardware calibration adequately corrects any color deviations and brightness level and then creates a color profile according to ICC settings that transmits the actual color information of the monitor to the PC. To obtain an exact and faithful color match it is recommended to perform a calibration at regular intervals. For monitors without a built-in sensor, it is necessary to use an external colorimeter such as the EX4 which, in combination with the ColorNavigator calibration software, compares the color rendering of the monitor with that assumed by the PC. The EX4 colorimeter is connected to the EIZO ColorEdge monitor via the USB port. ColorNavigator projects onto the monitor a series of color plugs on the screen that will be measured by the EX4. This allows you to verify that the monitor colors are actually reliable and compliant or if the return is incorrect due to factors such as wear and tear. If an adjustment is required, the procedure will be automatically performed in just a few minutes and without quality loss in the color chart (LUT) of the ColorEdge monitor. Once calibrated, an ICC profile is obtained that transmits the current monitor settings to the operating system and consequently to color management programs.
