I purchased plastic nursery pots that fit 5 inches so that I could use one with that pot. I think it would be easier to manage than to just plant directly in the pot, but you could do that also. They provide the pot hole plastic cover so soil doesn't fall out. Overall, it's a thick and well made planter. The matte black looks as you would expect.I think the price is fair. I've gotten worse quality pots from Target that are more expensive than this one. I've also gotten better value pots from IKEA (but that's because it's IKEA, no one else has prices like that) I like their other pots too, just with they had more that would fit 6 inch nursery pots since that's what we run into a lot in the US. Would definitely consider purchasing again if I can't find anything locally that I like.On a side note, I think the company (POTEY) has very cute branding and marketing. They also seem to specialize in planters which is a plus because I feel like that's better quality than buying from a vendor that sells all sorts of misc imported items. I also purchased terra cotta stakes from them to manage watering my larger plants. Those are great as well - very good quality and thicker than anticipated.

The shape is very nice and modern and I like that it has drainage and a tray. Although the tray doesn't hold a huge overflow, it works perfectly for my orchids. They even seem to be doing better once I transferred them to these pots. They are a very pretty white color and are a great quality. It would be nice to see 2pks for a better price as another option, but highly recommend.

I am hooked on Potey Planters. I was so impressed with my first purchase last week that I couldn’t resist purchasing more. Every one of my several purchases of Potey Planters are really well made, very nicely finished, and have no blemishes of any kind. They each have the drain hole and a complimentary drain saucer. I probably won’t use the little circle pad that is designed to cover the drain hole to prevent dirt going through, as it does not allow water to flow through which is the whole point of a drain hole. I will probably use something more porous.

I love this pot for its minimal and modern design. I especially appreciate the slightly longer/narrow shape which was perfect for the plant I chose, but they have other great shapes and designs to choose from all at an affordable price. The material is very sturdy and felt substantial and not fragile. It comes with a drainage hole which is very important as well as a dish/saucer to catch water! So five stars, no brainer 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This pot is huge! When I saw 5.3 inch planter this is not what I expected. I put my 4 inch pot next to it to show a comparison. Luckily I was able to move some plants around to make it work. Still cute though. Just not what I expected

I’m completely obsessed with these Potey Pots. For the price, I haven’t found anything as affordable, stylish, modern and so easily available. This is like my 6th pot by them and it is going to work great for my pinstripe Calathea. She had really long, root bound roots when I picked up her up at the store. I knew I’d want depth for her as she matured and this deep style pot is really going to be perfect. I massaged her root ball before planting her straight into this matte black one and hopefully she really takes root quick.

This planter is very well made, good quality and the color and paint is consistent throughout the planter. I also really like that it comes with a matching drip tray. I’m going to plant an avocado seed that I’ve been growing in water and is finally ready to be transferred to soil. I highly recommend pots from Potey.
