I used to have Xacto blades when I was in high school in graphics art class to make our custom t shirts. We used them to cut out the design on the film. I always found them useful for many things at home, but I ended up losing them and would tell myself over the years how I really needed to get a new one. Well, I did some shopping and decided on this kit.WOW. This kit has everything you need. First, it’s VERY sturdy and easy to use. The blade stays firmly in place. There’s no wiggling or loose blades when using this. The kit comes with blades for every situation. It also has a blade sharpener. I’ve been using them for some crafts recently but I also use them around the house for various reasons. The case that it comes in is also very nice in keeping everything together with a sliding latch to keep it sealedThis kit is soo well priced and the quality is sooo great that it’d be silly not to grab it. I’ve been a bit on the fence when trying out certain Amazon Basics products, but I’ve got a bunch of different Amazon Basic items now and they never let me down. From Surge Protectors to Xacto blades, they got it all and they’re a bargain without sacrificing quality.I highly recommend this set. You won’t regret it.

Great set that keeps everything organized and I really like the variety of blade types and sizes. My only complaint is the quality/strength of the metal used for the blades. I use this for scale modeling and cut polystyrene plastics, but the blades dulled two or three times faster than other blades I've bough before. I'd prefer to have a blade retain its razor edge longer than 8-10 uses.To be more specific, most of the narrow blades would have the fine tips snap off when using them for cutting in very small cracks or areas where fine precision is required. I'm sure a blade metal with more carbon in it would make the affordability of the set lessen, but it would extend the blade lives.

I have been using these blades for various crafts. I've cut paper, cloth, wood and even some very soft metal (pewter and small wires). The blades will not last forever, but for as long as they last (quite a long time depending on what you're cutting), they will hold their edge nicely.The handle is a nice fit for my large hands and is pretty comfortable.Overall, this is a great small set. I recommend it!

This was stolen before I really got to use it butt somebody liked it enough to take the trouble to steal it so what else can I say butt good stuff !
