Tickle Monster

This book was in a VRBO and by then end of the weekend, I had ordered a copy. This book is fantastic for connecting not just verbally but in a fun and physical way with your toddler at bedtime. We love the playful rhymes, the colorful artwork, and the anticipation of the tickles. This book elicits all the giggles that I want imprinted in my brain for eternity. 💜

I bought this book a few years ago when my oldest was 3 or 4. He LOVED it. He loved it so much, I bought a copy of the book and mitts for my nieces. He is 7 now, and my youngest is 3.5, and still, they both LOVE it. Every night they beg us to read it- and many nights we do, even if it gets them a little excited before bed. :) Other nights if we want them more settled down, we skip it, lol I can't say enough good things about the book, I love the colorfulness and the rhyming! I love that it has you interacting with your kids, I know this will be a book I save forever. And I am NOT someone who is saving my kids stuff, but this is a keeper for sure, because of all the memories! So much fun, I HIGHLY recommend it. I'd give it more stars if I could! Oh, and on a related note, we also bought Boogie Monster, which is also a lot of fun!

I bought this and loved reading it so much to my two yr old grandson I had to buy one for the other three families. They love the rhyming and being tickled. Fun memories will be made reading this to them all

This book makes both toddlers and adult readers laugh with glee. The fuzzy mitts are the perfect accompaniment. Perfect gift and book to have in your own library!

This book has a number of great features - body awareness, reader-child interaction, fun vocabulary and cute illustrations. The pages hold up well to my son's occasionally grabs (he's 8 months) and the book is a great size to read to a crowd of children, since the images are nice and large. After a month or so of reading this one or two times a week, my son giggles as soon as he seems the book coming down from the shelf. At this early age, it's teaching him that there is a sequence of events associated with the book, and when he gets older it will be a nice way of naming body parts. It's also a great bonding experience. My only beef (and this is a very, very tiny beef) is that the rhyming is a little awkward, forcing me to pronounce things kind of strangely so it sounds right. Not a big deal, as I can always teach him the correct pronunciation of these words when he's older, but the prose is a tiny bit awkward.

I bought this book for a daycare child that was leaving for preschool. I can’t imagine a more perfect book. Beautifully illustrated. It’s about a friendly tickle monster that comes from outer space. At the end the tickle monster has to leave but tells the child they love them. I will be purchasing this book many times.

This is a cute book that gives the reader the opportunity to interact with the listener to give gentle tickles along the way. So if the child loves being tickled it will be really fun to read. If the child hates tickles it will be torture. I bought it because I am "the tickle monster" with the kids I babysit and they love a little tickling. It works for us but I can see how this would not be fun for some kids.

I got this book to take for part of a baby shower gift. We got it when my baby had open heart surgery and it was her absolute favorite book!! Can't wait to read it to the grand's!!!

Such a fun book! All three of my kids ages 4,7 & 10 love this book. It’s been a regular pick for many years. I just bought a second copy for my nephew.

My daughter is almost 5 and this is still a bed time favourite. She absolutely loves this book and to be honest so do I! The anticipation builds up and I see her squirm when she knows the "it's time to tickle your under arm pitties" page is coming up. A wonderful book for the family to enjoy! I've read people saying this book is for young children but If your child still likes to be tickled then they are not too old in my opinion. Such fun to be had with the tickle monster.

Amazing book! We borrowed this from our library and the very next day I came on here to order it. This one is our household favourite! All 4 of my kids LOVE LOVE LOVE this book and ask me to read it daily to them. I have it memorized. This is not just another book. Highly recommend!!

My 2 year old absolutely loves this book. It's a must read before every bedtime and she now knows every word off by heart. Addictive rhyme, bright drawings and lots of fun. Alittle pricey for a book but large in size and definately well worth the buy.
