Great information
I had listened to this audio book and loved the information ot gave. But I could never get my husband on board until I played the book when we were diving on a long trip. He became enthusiastic about it. I created a monster! He now has to keep me in check and on program, lol. Our finances have become amazing using this program.

Stop listening to your broke friend’s financial advice!
Dave Ramsey financial plan truly works, If you follow it to a tee it will change your life. All of the people I’ve talked to that “disagree” with Dave Ramsey either don’t really know what he teaches, they don’t know what the Bible teaches, and/or they don’t really know finance. You don’t have to have a credit card to get a hotel, rent a car or buy a house. You can get a great APR mortgage with a 0 credit score and 20% down( Speaking all from personal experience) Dave is not anti mortgage. If your broke friends think Dave really has bad advice on a particular subject research what he says about yourself and see if he really has it wrong. So far I’ve found nothing he says that when I did the research I found him wrong. Changed my family’s life and set us up to build wealth

It works.
Dave has done a great job with this program. I've been listening to Dave daily for 6 months on XM radio. You can get the jist from his program but to actually listen to the 3 cd's of the actualy Total Money Makeover is a life changing experience. Dave takes you from todays practice of viewing credit as a tool to the way your grandma did it. You saved, and paid cash. He takes you through the steps of begining your Total Money Makeover by first starting an emergency fund to keep Murphy away while you finish the rest of the steps..The cd's are an easy listen and can be heard on one 4 hour trip from Tallahassee, Florida to Orlando, Florida. It's best that way so you and your significant other can both be inspired.Go DAVE!!

Worth the Listen, its about 3.5 hours-MP3 so I had to listen on computer
I prefer listening vs reading. This really helps shed light on how to get your finances into order. I have a finance degree but couldn't figure out how to make my income work the way I wanted it to. It seems like common sense things that you don't really think of.We have started our debt snowball and eventually will only have a house payment and utilities, that would really free up some money and then we can start to invest for our future.Worth the listen, even if you don't consider yourself Christian.

Great Techniques, Not much Fluff- a road map to the good life.
Really 4.5 stars. I enjoyed (cd book) listening to this emensely. It is good concrete back up for what I am already doing. I am on a budget program right now. I've read several places that to really truly get as much out of something as you can, you need to read it at least 5 times and you are better off reading 7 times to get the full effect. I've heard it 3 times and referred it to friends. I highly recommend this book if you even think you need it...and, if you owe money to anybody, you need to read it-even if you think you have your act together. The only slow part of the book to me was the first few chapters. I felt like the author was trying to "sell" me on his technique. I felt like I was already trapped in some "paid programming" tv show but I guess he felt like he needed to justify his plan to people that need it. Because, most people in debt problems are usually in denial about it. Overall, I really understood the point driven home about paying one thing off at a time and then taking that paid off debt monthly payment and putting it toward the next debt. I was referred to this book by a friend of mine who had gone bankrupt and owed his parents 150k. He paid them back, has an awesome farm and runs his own business some 12 years later and is totally debt free. He pays cash for everything...EVERYTHING. That concept seems far away but it is a definite goal for me and because of this book, I have a plan to get there.

Great buy! Get debt free and change your family tree.
Received less than a week ago and already listening to it for the second time. My husband has listened to it at least 20 times since he got it earlier this year. We just sold our house and are gazelle motivated to be 100% debt free and set our 2 children up for success. The author is very explanatory and animated. It is not a boring, dull sounding audiobook.

Can't Go Wrong With It.
Great supplement to the book. My sons love Dave Ramsey and prefer to listen to him. Plus, they can rehear the info faster than re-reading the book. MP3-CD, so make sure your car/stereo can play that version. Super great information as always, easy enough for my 10-13 year olds to understand. Direct transcript of the book. We used this as partial fulfillment/supplement to an economics course. Conservative information--don't listen if you love spending and debt!!

On the go goodness
Read the book and listened to this at least 6 times already yet grasp a different truth better each time! Sure wish we were taught these things while growing up instead of 30 years into marriage. The church is wrong to not agree with his concepts. His catchphrase should be: live like NO ONE else so you can LIVE like no one else!

Five Stars
An interesting cd and information useful. Non-US citizens may find some of the info does not apply to them.

This guy doesn't understand economy whatsoever.
He had some bad setback in the past and settled for some idiotic principles of never going into any debts. First not going into debts wont ever make you rich. True consumer debts can be bad, but the entire modern economy is based on investment, which is based on savings, which is based on decent interest rates, i.e. it's all based on debts!! Without borrowing = debts, nothing can be done, we're just back into the middle ages, hunting and fishing to survive the day!!

We really enjoy the app he recommends for budgeting to "every dollar"
This book is a life saver. Very common sense approach, but not the norm in society today. The audiobook is convenient to listen in the car as we drive to stores, and keeps us in check. We really enjoy the app he recommends for budgeting to "every dollar". I recommend this book to everyone if you are in debt, or even if you just want to keep more of your money in your pocket.
