REOLINK Home Security Camera System, E1(2 Pack), Smart Human/Pet Detection

We more than one Reolink camera, and I have to note the quality on all of them is amazing. Crystal clear and the view range is excellent. When you purchase an NVR (kind of like a DVR), you get a full week of recordings that you can download to keep if you choose. We had two Ring cameras but disconnected the one (and someday soon, the other) because it functioned inconsistently. Getting connectivity on the disconnected one was frustrating. With Reolink, there is no monthly fee and I should note, we've had those cameras in excess of a year without any functionality issues. One is wireless while the others are connected via ethernet cables. The cameras I'm rating here are those we added to the NVR on which our original Reolinks were already recording. Really a great system.

The Reolink app we already had makes the setup easy. The pictures and videos are clear. We don’t need to worry about buying cloud storage; we can just use USB cards.

I bought this camera to keep an eye on my pets while I’m at work. The setup was fairly straightforward—I had it connected to my Wi-Fi and the Reolink app within about 15 minutes. The video quality is excellent, especially for the price. The 4MP resolution and night vision are clear, and the 360-degree pan is really smooth. Person and pet detection work well most of the time, and I get timely notifications on my phone. First, it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which is fine for me but could be a limitation for some. Second, the audio during two-way talk has a slight delay and sometimes echoes. Lastly, while the app is generally good, it can occasionally lag when switching between multiple cameras. Overall, though, this is a solid indoor security camera. Great value, reliable performance.

I love these cameras. They work great for a very cheap price.

My 2nd purchase. The camera works great. Records clear video. I recommend using a quality memory card. I can pan in different directions, you can speak through the camera (there is a delay). I do not recommend for outside use. Now if REOlink can just improve their app the entire system would be perfect.

I use to love Reolink, but like this purchase, I find I am returning more and more of their products for the below same reasons One of the great features of Reolink was reliability, ease, redundance, consistency in set up – good scalability and great customer service; the force multiplier of Reolink. If you had an issue connecting to WIFI, it always came with an ethernet port as backup (which ALWAYS worked in getting you set up for WiFi). I returned this product for not having an Ethernet port and the wifi pseudo-AI / auto set up failing miserably - now common issue with Reolink It appears the tech team is no longer in the driver seat, but the marketing department - and thus the Reolink performance has degraded the last year. Instead of more Wifi Range, the real Achilles heel of the Reolink eco system, if seems to focusing on pseudo-AI voice instructions. To make their new camera’s look more modern, they hide the antennae, at the expense of WIFI range and also removing the ability to mitigate WiFI range problems with things like antennae boasters. To a potential buyer – I would suggest you look at older models of Reolink’s cameras only. They perform better, easier to set up, and are more scalable; not to mention Reolink NVR WIFI firmware currently has not been updated to interface with the newest cameras. To Reolink if you want to provide real value to Reolink customers, stop this sudo AI international marketing/packaging stuff you are doing - work on wifi range, the real Achilles heel of your eco systems. • Get your AC1200 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi Extender released (or at least scale your NVR so you can use third party extenders like Netgear) • Bring back your WiFi Antenna extenders, or better, release an improved version that increases range even more. • Stop hiding Antenna internally, which degrades their wifi range - if TP-Link and Netgear use external antennas, the is no tech excuse for you to not do so. • Before you release a new model, make sure your WiFi NVR (DVR/Router appliance) firmware supports it. • Go back to written instructions, (where each page was dedicated to one language, or YouTube channels that were dedicated to one language). Get rid of this marketing / new packaging effort of pseudo-AI set up in an unnecessary international “we are the world” packaging. Besides providing less information, a 3-sentence written instruction is now 15 sentence diatribe of foreign languages. Or at the very least, add the old option of “press 1 for English, press 2 for Spanish, press 3 for Korean, press 4 for Japanese……

It works great and gives a clear image. If it’s distorted at first it’s because you need to select clear up in the top left hand corner.

The camera is decent but the software is very buggy (the software's "submit feedback" feature just gives an error -- a good demonstration of the quality!). Software issues that I would have loved to report: 1. The zoom gesture on the timeline in Reosync playback software is backwards: when you pinch in (which would zoom out in any other app), the timeline expands outward (opposite the direction of the pinch gesture). When you pinch out (which would zoom in in any normal app), the timeline instead zooms out. There is no option to flip this behavior (nor are there really any UI behavior options). 2. You can't zoom or pan the video image during playback while the playback is paused. If you pause while playing a video, the zoom reverts to 100% so you can't stay zoomed in. 3. Playback of only motion segments is very slow. It takes a long time for it to finish the playback of one segment and then start the next (it shows itself as paused in between), but if you click right into the next segment, it plays back quickly, so obviously this is not a technical delay but a bug. 4. The software is sloooow. Click on any button and you have to wait like 10 seconds for anything to happen. Software is just as important as the camera itself in a security system and this one has a lot of issues (that can't be reported!). Not recommended at present.

Muy practico

This camera is great, It's very easy to set up and download the reolink app to connect to. Connects to wifi and bluetooth. The night vision is great and I can set the sensitivity just enough to register people and pets but not a tree blowing in the wind. Just make sure you buy a good SD card not a cheap one. I live in an apartment so this works great not having to hard wire anything and I can move it from room to room if I need too.
