Manhattan Toy Dr. Seuss Horton Baby Tactile Snuggle Blankie

My sister is doing a Dr. Seuss theme with a little girl on the way and this was just adorable!! So I just jumped on getting it without really looking at the size of it, REGARDLESS I LOVE it!!!! The material is soooo incredibly soft and perfect for a security blankie as I did not realize it was such a little blanket it's more for show than use!I am getting her name embroidered on it and adding a binkie/ribbon myself, since it is so small for much anything else! I was kind of hoping that it was at least be big enough for her to be wrapped in to sleep with as a new born is tiny anyhow!!! But the additions will give it that much more and can be used for décor if anything else!!!!!

For our baby shower, we received TWO of these Horton blankies. They are lovey sized, not a real-sized blanket. They are perfect for a baby to snuggle up with, or for a toddler to carry around. They are soft, with sateen ears, and ribbons on the nose and tail. The head, trunk, and ear tops are stuffed and plush. The rest is a flat, soft blanket. I'm not sure how people keep thinking they'll be a full-sized blanket, since they have a plush head, it wouldn't be a comfortable one.My daughter decided early-on that Horton was her lovey. She calls him by name and he has to be with her 24/7. This means that his ears are tattered from her rubbing them, he goes in mud puddles, in the dogs' water dish, gets covered in food, and hits the washer at least four times a week. He has held up. We bought a third Horton on Amazon because we know there will be a point where one of her alternating Hortons gets lost. We've got to be ready for that.I'm including some photos of my daughter's love for Horton over the past 15 months. I hope you enjoy them. If you want a lovey for your little Seuss fan, this is the one for you. Mind you, the sateen on the ears does rip away rather quickly, but that doesn't matter to us, because under the sateen the fabric is nice and not rough. We don't mind a bit of tattering on an object that gets so much love.Update: Our daughter is turning 3 soon. She now carries around all 3 Hortons with her. They sleep with her at night, they snuggle with her during the day, and she rubs their ears when she feels poorly. She has asked for one thing for her birthday, "A fourth Horton, please. I'd like to get 10 of them." Their ears are very tattered now from her constant scratching/rubbing, but they still make it through the wash several times a week. She loves them more than anything else and often wears them like hats.

Send right after birth because 17" isn't very long. I sent to a 4 month old baby and the binky was too small.

My daughter has been sleeping with this lovey since she was 5 months old. She's really grown attached to it! She loves holding it when she goes to sleep and playing with the ribbon tail. I have had to buy two more as back up just in case one day we have to retire her original one. We have washed it a bunch of times and the fabric had held up well!

Somehow the word "blankie" in the name of this product made me expect it to be larger, like big enough to actually cover a baby like a blanket. It's not. It's much more of a "lovey," something to hold onto and sleep with. But it's still very, very cute, super soft and good quality, and I'm happy with the purchase. Just be aware it's not really a blanket in any way.

Very soft and cute lovey! I love the bright colors. A little surprised it didn't come with a tag being new, but still very pleased.

Very cute blankie!! It's is for my great grandson. His favorite movie is "Horton Hears a Who". He was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 3 months old. Has spent the last 6 months in Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Hopefully will get to come home next week, but will be on maintenance until he is 2 years of age.

It's perfect!!! Exactly as described - fast shipping! It's not a full size blanket but I knew that and I prefer the smaller size for my baby. It looks great in our Dr. Seuss nursery.
