The media could not be loaded.  This is a set of 30 bird designs that are simply beautiful and intricate to color. It is one of the newer coloring books by Valentina Harper. For some reason, it has a misnomer of “activity book” on Amazon when it is really a coloring book. This is my first coloring book by Valentina Harper but I will certainly look for more books by her in the future. I have purchased books by this same publishing line (Design Originals) by other artists and this book is the same high quality book.In addition to the designs, the artist has included information about basic color ideas and basic color tips at the front of the book, along with some great color examples (some of which I will show in my attached photos.) The lessons are generic to the color book line but the samples are specific to the designs in this book.The pages are white and are perforated for easy removal. The designs are printed on one side only with beautiful and inspirational quotes on the back. The quotes have to do with being free to soar in your spirit – in some cases using birds as examples and in others, not. The quotes range from Evel Knievel (who certainly knew how to “fly”) to poet William Blake. Below the quotes are lines which the colorist can use to journal their own thoughts and feelings or perhaps the materials they used to finish the design.All of my markers and gel pens wick through these pages. If I use either of them, I will put a piece of thicker paper or freezer paper under the page I am working on to keep the the rest of the book ink free.

Very impressed. Lovely pics to color. There is a wonderfully thoughtful quote on the back of each pic. Or i guess you could say the quote is on the oposing page of the pic. Either way the quotes I've read so far are great. I just think the format is great. I'm ordering some of the other books in the set. I think this and a set of pencils would be a lovely gift. So glad i ordered this.

I have a lot of books by this artist and I really like her artistic style. Her style leaves room for a lot of creativity. You can color in all the little circles and lines and/or do more of a color wash over larger areas. I really like using glitter gel ink pens and markers for these designs. I also like that the pages are single sided and perforated for easier removal.

I bought this set of doll clothes in July. It arrived without the wedding gown, but with a tennis outfit in its place. I complained and was told the tennis outfit was actually more expensive. I let it go. I gave the bathing suit, goggles, and flip flops for a birthday gift. I saved the pajamas, tennis outfit and cover up for Christmas, yesterday. Today I was told the buttons came off the pajamas and a sleeve ripped. What a disappointment! What can be done?I would not recommend buying this brand of doll clothes.

You will love this if you love doing pics with tiny details. I find those types very relaxing as I am detail oriented but some will not. I enjoy these types of designs so much that I have bought several of her books and give a few as gifts. Works really well with gel pens and prisma color pens.

As beautiful as her previous books. Good quality paper too. Personally, I am tired of coloring over the same details (little circles) but I have bought about eight of her books so maybe I'm saturated. I hope she would come up with something different. But this one is a beautiful as her previous books.

Another excellent of pictures for coloring by the talented Valentina Harper. Each page has an inspirational quote on the back, which means you may use markers or media to color which may bleed through the paper without destroying the next page of artwork. (I recommend always placing a thin piece of cardboard or paper under your current project to protect any following pages.)

My dear 81yo aunt loves to color and craft! Her second love is birds! This book was a must for her...and she LOVED it!
