The most useful tool for strobists since super clamps and cafes that serve breakfast 24-hours a day
I'm a mostly off-camera flash user and these are incredibly useful. (I use them with Cactus V6 Wireless Flash Transceivers.) I am very happy with my switch to using Cactus.I'm a Canon shooter and have used 580EXs and 600RTs and all varieties of Pocket Wizards. One of the worries I had when switching to Cactus for speedlights/triggers was about range. No problem there. I can pop these consistently from across a gym or from one end of church/reception hall to another. Likewise for changing power settings from across a distance. Just dial it in on the V6 and you are good to go.I love not having to dig inside a softbox to change settings. If you've ever had to go back into your lighting modifiers to change things in the middle of the shoot, you'll really appreciate that as well. What about TTL? If you shoot a majority of photos with TTL, that's the only reason the Cactus is obviously not for you. I only really use TTL (ETTL) when I have a speedlite mounted on-camera. It's been nice to have when moving around in places that have wildly changing ambient light. (Following a quick moving bride from a bright part of a church to another, for example, might have variety like that.) That's the limit of TTL's usefulness for me -- five minutes out of an 8-hour shooting day for a wedding. Otherwise I never use TTL and it seems more clever than helpful in most every other case. So ... here's how the loss of TTL breaks down for me: If I only had one flash to use, I'd probably still try to get a flash that has TTL. That's not the way I shoot, though. I carry a bag full of flashes and they are almost always mounted off-camera in some modifier that's a pain to get back into once it's been set up. Don't buy any flash because of the number of features it has. That's dumb. Buy the features you value. For me, the Cactus RF60 lights are the easy winner when it comes to the speedlights/speedlites category.

Excellent flash, in some cases better than top brand name versions!
This is an excellent flash for the advanced user. It fits my needs perfectly for my use as a professional wedding photographer, both on camera and off. Paired with a Cactus V6 transceiver, this flash allows control of both power and zoom remotely from the transceiver mounted on the camera. Comparitively, it is not quite as bright as a Canon 580EXII; I'd estimate it to be about 2/3 stops lower in power. However it is still more than bright enough to use in broad daylight to overpower the sun. An added bonus is the fact that you can turn on a tone that signals when the strobe has finished recycling. No more counting to 3-Mississipi before firing your next shot! Build quality is what you would expect from newer Chinese made electronics; great quality for the price, but still not quite as robust as an OEM flash unit. There are a few things I'd like to see improved, but where not deal breakers: a lever lock hot shoe mount(vs the screw down type), and a rear shutter sync (though it does have an adjustable delay, so if you have enough time this can compensate). It runs off of 4 AA batteries and can last me all day no problem, and cycles pretty quickly. All in all, this is a very good unit if it fits your needs!

Great light...could be better build: 3.75 STARS
Had two RF60's for about 5 years. One is great. One is dead. It started to simply not turn a couple months ago. I would open and close battery door and that seemed to work, like connections were not being made. Battery doors on both units is the single worst part of these. I have had them pop open at random and spill the batteries. Uncool. It feels like a pressure fit is made as the door is closed so I know (presume) connections are being made but unit still will not turn on.Until now both units have been 4.5 star worthy (battery door). They are powerful, produce good light, are easy to use and dial in. But now too expensive to replace if I can't get a fix. Still...5 years is good.

Strobists will love it.
Great manual-only flash.Pros:-Combined with the V6 trigger it allows easy, fast remote power adjustments-Easy to use firmware update tool, frequent updates to resolve issues.-Powerful flash (for a speedlight)Cons:-Flash is large. Seriously. Bigger than an SB910. Almost too big to fit in places you've stashed flashes before.-Build quality is decent but some play in moving parts gives concern for longevity. Might suffer from limp flash head syndrome later in life.-no ttl. Not truly a con but wireless ttl would be awesome.Summary:Great value for the money and provides strobists with great convenience. Not having to lower a light stand to adjust power or zoom is seriously nice. Just make sure to turn the annoying sleep mode timer off.

Awesome flash system.
The RF60 is a fantastic flash. It's big and powerful (almost too big, the only slight problem) and easy to control. Get a Cactus V6 trigger and you can control four groups of flashes from 100 feet away. The RF60(s) and V6 combo allow you to shoot from full power all the way down to below 1/128th power. And you can control the flashes zoom.

great features, the fact that has the receiver internally ...
This Flash is very well constructed, great features, the fact that has the receiver internally make it a great choice, it works fantastic with pocket wissards and even better with the Cactus V6 transciver

If you need a great flash definitely buy this.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to do some off camera flash. Coupled with the Cactus wireless controller it is an awesome product. Same output and similar build to Nikon SB700. I actually have 3 of these. And with the controller you can control each flash seperately or together from wherever you are standing. Definitely a 5 star product.

Reliable wireless flash's
I got rid of all my nikon sb900/910's and pocket wizards and replaced them with these and the matching triggers. You lose iTTL but the radio functionalty of these is bomb proof. They work with any camera brand too I've used them with nikon and fuji they work flawlessly every time

Nice design, well build and reliable.
I was a bit afraid to buy this brand over Canon's speed-lights, but after a few months of usage I can't complain about it. Nice design, I personally love the integrated wifi system, that allow me to use this unit along with other four, controlled by one flash trigger mounted on my camera. Solid quality and well build, after buying two of this, I'm about to buy another one. You can find cheaper products from other brands, but if you want a reliable unit this is it!

Simply Brilliant System.
This is my third RF60 but the first one from Amazon, absolutely love the whole Cactus flash system. There's a plethora of options and custom settings but don't get stressed, it's easy and quick to setup out of the box to pair it up with the V6 controller and you'll be using it within minutes. I've no hesitation in recommending this system to anyone serious about off camera flash photography.
