Willow Craft: 10 Bird Feeder Projects (Weaving & Basketry Series)

For the price I expected to see color photographs. The instructions are clear and thorough, and the projects charming. I am happy to support an independent artist, especially in such a field that needs more literature, but the black and white photos make it less appealing and straining on the eyes. In an age when we all have access to a color scanner and printer, black and white photos are dated and almost unacceptable.

I was interested in weaving a bird house or feeder for my mother and thought this would be a great way to start. I don't have the right kind of willow so I improvised with wild grasses, green twigs, etc. It was no where as beautiful as the books but it gave me a fantastic 'feel' of whether or not I'd like to move forward with to learning more of this craft. I certainly have great respect for the artist.

The best author for getting absolute beginners comfortable using willow. Very easy to understand instructions. I’ve used other basketry authors and they are like trying to understand hieroglyphics so this author is the best to get you creating!

Great little book. Informative and precise . I'm a beginner and found it easy to follow. Still to try harder projects but a great challenge.

This is a FANTASTIC little book. It is all black and white but the step by step photos are excellent and each project is so well guided. Brilliant value for money. As bird lovers and new to willow weaving we love this book
