Look No Further; These are the Best!
I've used "Flents Quiet! Please" earplugs for years. I've tried others occasionally but these are the only ones I've found that actually block out the noise like they promise. When stores stopped carrying them I found them here (thank God). I first ordered the 50-pair container, and when that ran out I ordered the 200 pair box. When they arrived I was a little nervous to see they don't look like the ones I used to buy; these are orange and slightly smaller than the cream-colored ones they used to carry in stores and in the smaller packages online. No matter! They work just as well as ever. In fact, these work better. I can wear them several nights in a row before they start losing their expand-memory. Very comfortable. Blessed stillness and yet you can still hear important things like the phone and smoke alarm :-)After trying other brands that Say they block out sound but Don't, I cannot recommend "Flents Quiet! Please" enough. And of course, the larger the amount you buy, the more you save. Amazon price is miles and miles cheaper than retail. And because you can use the same plugs several times over, that's even more savings!

The price is right, but they aren't as good as others
These earplugs come in a large package and will last forever with my current usage habit. I use earplugs to sleep because my husband snores, but I have some minor complaints about these.1) They are difficult to compress to get into my ears. Compared to other plug materials, these are VERY STIFF. They do not stay compressed very long and I usually have to try multiple times before they are inserted in my ears correctly, if I am able to do so at all.2) They wear out quickly. These are really only designed for one or two uses before they need to be replaced (they won't stay compressed enough to insert - they almost instantly uncompress). Other earplugs I am able to use for over a week before replacing them with no loss of compressability or expandability.3) They fall out easily. I have woken up almost every night the past week since I began using these with one of the earplugs missing (This is a function of problem #1, they are not inserted correctly so they fall out). The pluses are as follows:Since there's 200 pairs (400 plugs) this box will last me over 6 months even if I use a new pair each night. When inserted correctly, the noise reduction is great! For a snoring partner or as a sleep-aid, these work *as long as you can get them to stay in your ears*.I have not tried these as hearing protection for gunfire, but once I have I will report back.EDIT: I used these a few times at the range, and they worked well, but again Problem #1 caused some issues. They must be inserted correctly to gain the noise-reduction benefit otherwise they serve no purpose. I'm not certain that I'll be purchasing these particular plugs again.

Not exactly the same as the cylinder shape
Unlike other reviewers, I did not find these the same as the white, cylinder shaped Quiet Please. The foam is different...more porous. I've been using the white ones for many years...I actually updated my Amazon review because the quality of the white ones (that come in the 50pr container) seemed to have changed over the last couple years...still as effective, but they don't thru as many wearings. I decided to try these (the 200 pk) because they are a major saving. I tried them for one night, sleeping with my windows open (I live in a noisy neighborhood). They were not as effective at blocking out street noise as the whites. Fortunately, Amazon allowed a return the next day (I bought 2X50 of the white ones at the greater cost instead).Don't get me wrong...I'm still giving them 4 stars because they work better and are more comfortable than the other plastic, bullet ones called 'Quiet Time'. In fact these (the hexagonals) might be better in some respects because the white cynanders make you almost too deaf (I don't wear them if I am alone).

Some notes about the 200-count box
I have been using the Flents Quiet Please earplugs for a number of years now to deal with snoring. The texture, density and 'squishiness' of these is far superior in both comfort and noise-blocking to any of the others I have tried. Now, a note about the 200-count box. This is the kind of box you might expect to see at a jobsite. It is a large cardboard box (like a large shoebox) full of individually-plastic-wrapped pairs of plugs. These have a hexagonal cross-section and are not exactly the same as the white Quiet Please plugs that you get in the 50-count containers. However, they work just as well. The fact that each pair of plugs is individually wrapped is a bit tiresome at bedtime, and the large box doesn't really go with my nightstand, but other than that - they are an excellent product.

Not the same as the cream colored plugs.
I have used Flents Quiet Please and Quiet Time plugs every night for about a year now. I was, however purchasing the 50 pair tubs of soft purple (which are my current favorite, found here, http://www.amazon.com/Flents-Quiet-Time-Comfort-Plugs/dp/B001F5VDVE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1351018531&sr=8-6&keywords=ear+plugs) and original creme-colored plugs (http://www.amazon.com/Apothecary-Products-Flents-Please-50-Pair/dp/B001J4HB1C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1351018484&sr=8-4&keywords=ear+plugs). Both of those plugs roll up nicely, block sound, and are not irritating to the ear after a very long night's sleep. These, however, are absolutely not up to snuff compared to the creme plugs, and don't even touch the quality of the purple plugs. These plugs expand too fast to insert into your ear with any success. They also are slightly irritating to the ear after more than 8 hours of sleep. I move around in my sleep quite a bit, and these fall out probably twice a week. While I won't be purchasing these particular earplugs again, I also won't be throwing out the box.
