QED Performance Audio 40i Stereo 2 Phono TO 2 Phono Jack Cable with QED Solid Complementary Conductor™ Technology and Anamate™ RCA plugs (1m)

Performance 40i is a great interconnect not just for the money but a good all rounder, I connected it to my Marantz CD6006 cd player and Sony TAFB940R amplifier I have tried many interconnects through the years all have come up short in one area or another my most recent purchase being the Chord Clearway although a good interconnect it lacked punch, the 40i resolved this my music is exciting and enjoyable again, give it a few days to settle and the sound is second to none.

Was never convinced that upgrading hifi cables would make much of a difference. Well I was wrong. As soon as I plugged in from my dac to my amplifier and pressed play I noticed an improvement in sound quality. Just about every cd I play sounds better . This cable feels excellent and sounds it and I feel it is great value for the money

A well made QED interconnect for Hi fi use between for example amplifier & cd player. Well reviewed in the HiFi press and subjectively provides detail and separation benefits. Good value for money.

Positives: QED signature sound. Used between a Marantz cd6007 and Denon av receiver pulls a bit more detail and high end out of the mix. No loss of bass to my ears. Very good sound and quality construction.Negatives: As pointed out by other buyers the plugs are regular gold plated QED plugs therefore not the plugs advertised. Listing should be updated. As I said above they are still very good. The other negative is the item arrived not postage packed, as in there was an address label stuck straight to the box. I’m not happy with this as I expect the whole item including the manufacturer’s packaging to be protected in another box. RCA cables are guaranteed for life and the box is handy to pass them on to someone else should you chose. Also not pretty giving as a present to someone with a postage label stuck on and the corners of the box knocked up. Not good enough.So 5 stars for product minus 1 star for bad (or in this case no) packaging.

I use QED40i 2m RCA cable to connect pre amp to power amps. High quality sound,no hum at all.I always use QED.

1. If your system is just a teeny bit lacking in top end then these might suit you. My system is the opposite so I ended up going with the Chord C-Lines.2. Do check out the Primewire cables too (£15, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079FTRQ1D?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). They sound VERY similar to the QEDs, are well made and are £50 cheaper.

Used it to connect pre amp to wireless speaker to get optimum sound quality and for the money it was the best option.

Pitted these against my svs cables. I tested them both electronically and sonically. The svs are a great value. I played the same 45 seconds over and over flipping the inputs over and over. Also switched the cables to the other inputs. I could actually hear more music from the qed. I think they are just constructed better. I lost track of what was where at one point. The qed was still the winner.

"Tweaking" a more or less upper-level budget system (Marantz CD player and amp, B&W 606S2 speakers, B&W subwoofer) which works well acoustically in the room where I have put it, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that these QED cables sound better (detail, depth, tone), at least to me, than the Chord C-line cables I had been using, similarly priced, which of course sounded much better than the RCA cables that came with the CD player and amp in the first place. I listen to mainly classical, crooners/torch singers, and jazz. Highly recommended in particular for good recordings of solo singers and instruments, jazz groups, chamber music; but can even improve sound of orchestras and choruses. A real find.

Premetto che posseggo altri cavi qed, i Performance Audio Graphite che già si sentono bene ma con questi 40i la differenza è notevole.

Sus puntos positivos son la excelencia de sonido y el aislamiento sobre las posibles perturbaciones de ruido de todo tipo de frecuencia. Incluso puede utilizarse como cable del giradiscos al preamplificador de phono, sin necesidad de cable de masa y con un resultado sorprendentemente ganador sobre otros cables especiales para tal cometido.
