A must have for the Triumph motorcycle enthusiast
I have been fortunate to have been in the Triumph motorcycle business for over 50 years. I have a vast library of books on the subject and I have had the great fortune to get to know many of the people who were the great Triumph Engineering Company through my own company JRC Engineering Inc. Having said that I have learned many little known differences in these wonderful machines I did not know from this book. A must have for anyone restoring a Triumph. Pay particular attention the introduction. Great advice from a man who knows. This book may be the least costly and most valuable part of your restoration adventure!

High Production Values & Details Galore
This is an excellent book and considering its detail on machines that have been out of production for decades, it is an outstanding buy! The only additional thing I could ask for is that I would have liked to have a detailed chart or list of the model numbers, model names, years, and production numbers that were sent to the USA. Some of the nomenclature from this brand has always confused me. As I pointed out in The Tiddler Invasion: Small Motorcycles of the Sixties, the Honda Scramblers somewhat followed in the tire tracks of the pioneering TR120C and TR6C models. I am such a sucker for small gas tanks, crossover upswept pipes, and sporty street styling! The production quality and editing perfection add to the value of this gem!

An Authentic restoration guide.
This book would would have to come close to being the bible for authentic and original restorations of these models and years of Triumph motor cycles. The information, pictures (period and recent), and technical information is very comprehensive and accurate. As a qualified mechanic and Triumph enthusiast, I have been involved in repairs and restorations on these machines professionally for many years and used this book to great effect.Over the years I have built, ridden and raced these bikes (and my T150V Trident) in the classic and post-classic classes very successfully. The author, David Gaylin, has also collaborated with another enthusiast, Lindsay Brooke to produce "Triumph in America", and along with Brooke's "Triumph Racing Motorcycles in America" these make a companion trio of not only technical information, but are a compelling and enlightening read of the history of the factory, dealers, men and machines from this era. I highly recommend them. Dirk Jeal.

not pleased
This expencive book was not what I was looking for. I wanted something to help me take the motorcycle apart for restoration. The book covers the complete history of each model manufactured, and the changes for each year model. There is not one item on maintenance or upkeep for the Triumph. This book is designed for the person who would build a bike for competition judging, not riding.

Every Twin Owner should buy this book
Great detail on all of the many production changes during each model year. Even if you are not trying for a concourse restoration this is a very useful book for any Triumph Twin Owner.

Priceless Information
This book contains exactly the kind of information that I was looking for. If you are interested in restoring, or changing small details to bring your Triumph back to the way it left the factory, this book is for you. So much information is packed into this book and I find something new everytime I pick it up.

NOT A RESTORATION GUIDE, JUST A FACT BOOK
THIS BOOK SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED ( THE BONNEVILLE FACT BOOK ) IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW TO RESTORE A MOTORCYCLE, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE SOME HELPFULL ADVICE AS WHERE TO START AND WHICH OPERATIONS TODO IN WHAT ORDER, WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS BOOK TO SOMEONE ACTUALLY REBUILDING A BONNEVILLE , AS I AM DOING
