Compatible/Replacement for HP J4858C

I was skeptical at first, since there were no reviews yet and the price was considerably lower than some other options. I took a look at the HP support matrix for the GBIC's / Pro-curve and found no reason that these shouldn't work. I have 4 of them installed for testing and so far everything looks good. They are working in two different Pro-curve 2910's, a 2920, and a 2530. Next week I'll have production running over these devices. Time will tell if they are a good investment.

This is my go-to for HPE 2915/2920 and now 5510 switches. I have 6-10 of these running with zero issues. With the 1G modules be more affordable I was tempted to switch over to the HP branded but these work great and save some money too. Win - Win.

Hummingbird GBIC performing excellent on my HP 2530 procurve switch. easy to install, no problems at all, same or better quality than HP brand.

These were reasonably priced and worked flawlessly in our HP switches. Arrived on time and worked just as described.

Does what it needs to do for a lot less than the HP brand.

Works exactly as expected in a 3500yl and 5400zl switch.

Works just like the HP brand so far.
