Buck Fiddy? Do it!!!
Beautifully made speakers for the price! I was not expecting to see made in China on the box when I got it since these are designed in France but I guess the price should have clued me in. They are literally 1/2 the price of the next model up.I installed these in my 2013 Subaru WRX to upgrade the front speakers. I'd done a great deal of research on different 6.5" components before choosing these. Several experts rated these as the best of any budget buy speaker you can get. I would have to agree. They don't handle an enormous amount of power but as with any aftermarket speaker would benefit greatly from being amplified. The tweeters are bigger than you expect based on the specs. The flush mount hole needs to be 1.7" which was a bit of a fabrication challenge and meant I had to cut up the sail panels on my new Scoobie-roo. Made my wife more nervous than it did me though. The one benefit you get from this set is the fact that there is no crossover to mount. The basic components are attached to their respective driver. Audio snobs will scoff at this arrangement based on quality of frequency separation but I honestly don't think the sound quality has suffered much at all from not having proper (but bulky) crossover networks. You will notice there are 3 wires coming out of each of the tweeters. The one labeled "Display" doesn't get used. The "instructions" don't mention this but just snip the "Display" wire short and use the "Car" wire as + and the clear as (-) neg. Polarity is very impooooortant folks!I'm currently running them off the stock head unit which I'm sure isn't giving these speakers more than 15 watts RMS but they still sound amazing. In a couple weeks once I've pre-ran the cabling for amps and sub I'll hook them up to an Infinity Reference 4 channel amp to let them sing like punch drunk angels. I'll also be using an LC6i output line converter to clean the signal up and re-introduce bass to the system. But for now I'm very pleased with the smoothness and accuracy of these speakers are giving me from just a lowly stock head unit. I'm probably going to urinate when I get an amp and cleaner signal to them! The first thing you notice when listening to these is just how clean the highs are. Very smooth and are becoming more transparent as they break in. The mid-bass is clean as well but doesn't punch as accurate as you'd like but that should be remedied with 60 watts or better of clean facemelting power from the Reference amp! Good midbass, IMO, should clearly define drum beats during a drum solo and it takes a very good driver to do this. These speakers are for clean and clear sound so if you want to feel like you're listening to a proper system you'll need a 10" or 12" (which is what I'm going to use) subwoofer to fill in the 100Hz and below. All that being said...I'm going to have to say that you'll have to spend in excess of $400 to get speakers that rival these for clean effortless sound. I'm running N7 music player on my android because it plays FLAC format music. FLAC is a much higher quality audio format than MP3 or Itunes quality music. Do yourself a solid sometime and check it out! If you're gonna have good speakers you gotta give em good music quality. Hey. They didn't feed Sea Biscuit cheeseburgers! Ya know?!!

Replacements for a system that already have tweeters
Let me start off by saying these have excellent sound quality and also get respectfully loud for their price. There's just one thing you should know, they are set up to replace a stock system that already has pre-existing tweeters (separate from the speaker). The tweeters have 3 wires coming out of the back and the 4 piece set (2 tweeters and 2 mid base woofers) does not support a tweeter to speaker connection without modification. I had to solder separate leads to the crossover on the speaker so that I could hook the tweeters directly to them. I am not recommending this at all. It worked for me but I don't know for how long. The only thing I do recommend is buying these to replace a system that has tweeters because the set does not include a crossover. Just invade you don't know, the crossover is what keeps the tweeters from playing frequencies that will damage them.

DO NOT BUY
These are theee absolute worst speakers DO NOT GET THESE and make the biggest mistake I did and blow a bunch of money on these s***ty things. They distort like crazy and one already sounds blown and just got them professionally installed yesterday!!!! I could tell it was gonna happen by the way they sounded turned up. This is crazy. My infinity kappas sounded waaaayy better than these and were half the price!!! Do yourself a favor and buy the kicker ks speakers. They sound amazing. They have amazing midbass and great highs without being harsh. But it all depends on what yu like.. My stereoshops owner like the infinity kappas better, but I like the kickers waaay better. Kappas are very crisp clean sounding speakers and don't distort like these. These sound cheap compared to kappas. And I had the kappas with and without an amp. Haven't hooked up the amp to these yet though. I'm going to switch to the kickers cuz I hate these so much. Make sure yu get amp for kicker ks. Haven't heard them without one so yu need to get amp if yu wanna hear what those babies really can do. And they're $50 cheaper than these

Great value.
Sound great. Awesome value compared to $250 or 300 for the newest version. Tweeter location kit provides many options for custom installs and the crossovers are built directly onto the speaker frame which can save a lot of headaches compared to a separate crossover that needs mounting.

Four Stars
Good quality crisp sound! The company is based out of France so communication takes a little extra effort!

These are great sounding speakers for the money
These are great sounding speakers for the money. They need to be amplified to really shine. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent speakers, especially for the price
Excellent speakers, especially for the price. For those concerned that these don't have a dedicated crossover, they do have filtering capacitors and inductors on the full range driver and a filtering capacitor on the tweeter.Installed these on a 2003 G35 Sedan and was able to reuse the original tweeter door / wing housing with minimal modification, really just bent the factory tweeter bracket a bit to fit.Be advised, they are harsh at first until they get broken in. Expect a bit of a headache the first few hours of use.

Nice Components
Nice component set, but the tweeter is a bit bright for my liking. I prefer a smoother tweeter.
