Ontario Knife Co 1-18" Military Machete (3 Pack)

I haven't used the machete yet, but I bought it with the sheathe, as I feel like it would be safer than leaving an open blade lying around. On receiving it, I went to sheathe it, and the notch that is in the sheath for attaching to your belt leaves a giant scratch on the blade as draw it in and out. Furthermore, the sheath is extremely tight, to where I'm worried about how hard I have to pull on the machete to remove it from the sheathe. I would have been much happier buying the machete by itself and saving a little money. The sheathe feels worthless.

I'm 6" 2 male with big hands and I have to swap my hand to the handle before swinging or the blade will Fly outta my hands. Thinking of maybe sanding down the corners of the handle to make a little smaller and that much easier to hold. If you plan on really using this get one with a better fitting handle, the moment someone with smaller hands goes to swing this it will Fly outta your hands. Hope this helped.
