Andis Master Hair Clipper, (# 01557)I highly recommend this product!The Andis Master Hair clipper is the perfect clipper for at home and professional use. Its unbreakable aluminum housing is tough enough to withstand drops and everyday use. The powerful high-speed magnetic motor runs cool and quiet, so you can be sure this is an ideal clipper for any setting.The clipper comes with the fade blade (# 01556) already attached. This blade is adjustable and has 5 lever notches on the side which is perfect for tapering and fading. The notches let you know exactly how low you are cutting, given the blade lever adjusts from 000-1. The Master itself does not come with clipper guards, but this is typical for most professional clippers of this quality. The comb set, for this clipper are durable and inexpensive. The comb set (#01380) consists of 7 guards that will help you cut nearly any hair style.I know many professional barbers who have the Andis Master, and they all recommended it to me. I have been struggling with a much cheaper set of clippers for years and it was time to upgrade. I was amazed the first time I used the Masters for myself. The clipper runs very smooth and cuts with ease. I frequently cut hair for many of my friends, and the Master dropped my cutting time in half with each person I cut for. My friends even noticed a difference when I cut their hair. If you know how to cut hair and how to fade, this is the perfect clipper for you and you will have jobs done in no time!There is 1 clipper that is designed for similar use that is comparable to the Andis Master. The Wahl Senior is a little cheaper than the Andis Master and many others find it to be very useful as well. The Senior has a design that fits more comfortably into your hand than the Master, but it is not built for durability and can more easily be broken or damaged. The master also has an advantage with the fade blade lever. The Senior does not have notches which makes it more difficult to know where your blade is during tapering. Lastly, I would suggest that if you are not used to cutting hair that you start off with a different clipper than the Master. If you run the motor too long without stopping, the aluminum casing can get hot. But for experienced barbers, this will not be an issue.Both clippers have their pros and cons, but I went with the Master for the better blade and better build for durability, even though it was a little pricier. The product is definitely worth the money! I would recommend buying this product from Amazon as it typically has the lowest price than any other retailer selling the Master.

I AM a professional, and I come from a family of barbers.... Literally my dad, mom, brothers, uncles... We all use these to clipper over comb, beards, fades, fros, and me personally i use them to fade my designs. IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THEM.If you cut your own kids hair, slapping a guard on your kids head and calling it good is still going to look unclean, but these are better then any Walmart brand clipper. THESE CLIPPERS DO GET HOT, ONLY IF YOU ARE SLOW AND OR. ROOKIE AT CUTTING HAIR. I use these for 5-10 min per haircut I cut about 15-30 people's heads a day, they do not get warm with the use that I do. If your sitting in the mirror for 35 mins cutting your own hair, then yes don't get these.Hands down these are some of the best out there for barbers who can clipper over comb, and freehand fades, correcting lines mistakes and adding polish.BEARDS- for personal use, if you have the extra cash it's a must have to take it off fast and efficiently with no pulling or clogging.For professional use, these are a must have for freehanding beards, fros, flat tops, fades, and designs.NOTE!!!!!! If they make a horridly loud buzzing noise, there is a flathead screw on the side that you want to tighten ONLY JUST ENOUGH TO GET RID OF THE SOUND! Over tightening results in lack of movement in the blades and you will find clogging much more frequent even to the point of the blades stopping all together.KEEP BLADES OILED REGULARLY. In my professional use, I usually oil them about every 3-5 haircuts. I hope you found this review helpful.

The Andis improved Masters are by far one of if not the best fading clippers on the market. There is not a barber on YouTube that does not own at least 1 Andis Masters clipper. I have 3 boys and I have cut there hair back to back and that takes about 90 minutes and the clippers were not hot. They got warm, but no way too hot to hold. I fade my hair from 000 to 1' and line it up (andis t-outliner)in 30 minutes and I am not a pro. I have only been cutting hair for my family for 8 months.These clippers are known to be relatively quiet compared to other clippers in the same category of magnetic driven motor clippers. More importantly if you follow the instructions that come in the box Andis teaches you how to adjust you clippers to quiet them and get the most power from them. I followed those directions and they run quiet and strong.The metal housing looks great! It add a little weight but I have only found the weightiness of these clippers to be one of its attractive features and because it has brushed metal it creates a natural grip that is really nice. They are the real deal! Everything on these clippers are made to last and they are made in the US! Again, I have cut all 3 of my boys hair and mine back to back and i did not fatigue at all and I am no gym goer.Overall these clipper cut brilliantly and there are so many videos on youtube that will teach you how to fine tune these clippers. I love how smooth they cut. They leave you hair feeling as though they were cut by a professional with a scissor over comb cut. Its a velvety smooth finish. These clippers ROCK!
