A seemingly ridiculous but, in fact, effective piece of technology.
Why is this necessary? Why not just use matches? Or a butane lighter?Well, in my case, I had a long butane lighter for grilling, and it ran out of butane. No problem, I'll refill it. WELL NOT IN CALIFORNIA I WON'T! Butane distribution is restricted in California. Amazon won't deliver it; stores don't carry it. So I could go back to long wooden matches, but I figured I'd give this a try.Pros: Lights candle wicks quickly, once you ge the hang of it. Charges fast USB charging is easy. No burned matches to dispose of; no toxic butaneCons: I wish the goose neck was a little longer. The gap between the electrodes is narrow, so it's hard to light things like firestarters or kindling. On the surface, this seems to me to be an unnecessary use of technology. And yet, I have it, I need it, and generally, I like it.

Useful rechargeable electric lighter with long bendable neck
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This lighter is so much better than a standard long stem lighter that most people use to light candles or grills. The reason being is the 360 degree flexible long neck that can be bended in any direction to accommodate whatever needs to be lit. This design was made to be able to reach the ends of very low candles in the jar so that they don’t go wasted. Plus, this is rechargeable so it doesn’t require any butane and will last a much longer time and is reusable over and over again. Also, because this is electric, you don’t have to worry about the wind blowing the flame out, so this is great when lighting candles outdoors. This comes with a USB charger cable and the blue light will blink while charging and will automatically turn off once it’s fully charged. There are four (4) LED dots which is the battery indicator and will show you when it needs to be recharged when it’s down to one dot. There is a safety switch that you have to turn on every time you want to use this lighter. Otherwise, nothing will happen when you press the ignition button. It is important that you remember to switch this off when done using. I find it ironic that there is a safety switch but the switch doesn’t indicate which is on and off. The only way you’ll know is if you press it and the LED battery indicator flashes blue and the ignition button works. For safety reasons, it would nice if “on” and “off” were clearly marked. An added bonus feature is that the bottom of the lighter serves as a bottle opener so this is a great tool for any party!

Easy to use and safer than flame!
I am truly amazed by this flameless lighter! I've always lighted my candles with a match but I get so frustrated when either the match couldn't reach the wick of the candle or the flame would accidentally burn my finger tip. I saw an ad for a flameless lighter so I decided to get one to try it out. I love how this lighter has a long tip that's also bendable to I can bend the lighter at an angle to light the wick of the candle. It's a very clever design! This tool is perfect for lighting large scented candles because their wicks could get so short when the candle is burned halfway and there isn't much wax left. I'm loving this tool because it makes me feel safe when I'm lighting the candle. A good tip I learned is that the package includes a USB charging cable and I read on the page that they recommend to use the USB charging cable that was included since you can't use a fast charger for the lighter. Hope this tip helps!

Reliable, effective, and rechargeable 💗
This is my first arc lighter and it is so cool. It reminds me of a miniature taser, lol. I really like how much easier it is to use than the lame butane lighters I’m used to. It lights the first time every time.I also like the flexible neck, which makes it much easier to use with jar candles. I’m not sure how well this will work on campfires yet, but I intend to take it camping with me this summer. I’ll update this review if I encounter any problems, but I don’t foresee any. If nothing else, the built in bottle opener will come in handy 😁I LOVE that this lighter is rechargeable, and that I won’t have to keep buying those cheap disposable lighters. Less chemicals and waste in the landfill for sure!

So cool and works so easily
I have heard and seen these electric lighters but have been skeptical, but got tired of filling fluid lighters into mine so thought I'd give it a try. I was surprised how easily it works. It lights candle in a click and the foldable neck means no more picking up the candle. I tried it on a gas stove, click and lit. I also tried it on incense, although it can light that up it does take a little effort for it to start burning. No more lighter fluid!

A very useful tool
This is a great little tool. It appears to be very solid and well-made. I suspect it will last a very long time. It charges with a USB A to USB micro cable. It does not come with a charger but can be plugged into any USB port on a computer or wall charger, etc. It has 4 LED lights that show how much battery charge it left. I'm not sure how long a charge will last but this isn't something what you would keep on for very long periods of time so I am pretty sure you will get a lot of use between charges. I use it for lighting my gas grill and for lighting propane torches. They claim you can even use it to light candles. I was skeptical of this but it actually worked when I tried it. I suspect it will also light my Tiki torches although I haven't tried that yet. I see this as a great replacement for all the disposable butane lighters I have used in the past.

Easy to use, love the safety switch with kids around
I can see why this lighter got such great reviews. This thing is cool! It has a safety switch that has to be on before you can use the lighter, which I quickly found very helpful since my 2 year old has ninja-like skills and grabbed it off the kitchen counter. Fortunately he was unable to use it. There is about a 1/8 inch gap between arc probes which is just right for the wick of a candle. The first day we got it in the mail my wife ran around the house lighting everything candle and yelling “check this thing out”. We have only used it to light candles but I’m sure it would work for just about anything a regular lighter would be used for. Since it’s rechargeable I’m hoping it lasts us a long time.

Great
First of all, I got this so I can light up my candles without burning myself. It comes in a nice box, and it actually has an on-off switch so you won't light something on fire by accident. It has 4 LEDs as battery indicators, and its battery lasts quite some time. It was fully charged when I got it, and I haven't charged it since.Similar to other electric lighters, the housing is plastic so if you're not careful, it might start melting around where the spark is.

I LOVE THIS THING
Honestly I’m so excited this type of lighter exists. I’ve been buying the torch style lighters as I have lots of deep candles to make them easier to light and they run out so fast. This is the solution. I never have to buy lighters again. I’ve been using this for several days and haven’t had to recharge it yet and it lights my candles so quickly. This technology is honestly so cool!

It lights candles well enough
Lights candles fairly easily, though it does need to be held in place longer than a match. Worked on conventional and wooden wicks and incense. You may want to wipe off the electrodes or whatever those are called every now and then as it is hard to use without getting wax or soot on it since the space between the prongs is fairly narrow, only slightly wider than most wicks. The flexible neck is good for reaching into jar candles that are burned down far enough a match would be hard to use

Battery doesn't last long
I really wanted to love this product... It's ok.The battery doesn't last very long so your best to switch it off between uses which kinda sucks since the switch is hard to use. Otherwise it's a nice lighter.
