Can We Save Them?: Endangered Species of North America

I wanted to find a book that would be good to read to my special need adult students. We were learning about endangered/lost species. I hoped that this would be a perfect accompaniment to our lesson. But it was too wordy and long. My school age children at the daycare enjoy looking at the pictures.

In my second grade classroom we did research projects on endangered animals and I was in need of material that my students could read independently. This book was a great source of information for my students and made the information accessible to all. Being able to read about the less talked about animals in danger was gratifying and made the book well worth the purchase. The vibrant color pictures were a selling point for the kids and me! I am certain to use this book in years to come for various projects and reading assignments.

This book was for my 7 year old grandson but I read them all before I give them to the kids. I LOVED this book. The illustrations were beautiful, the language was age appropriate and the message was clear and balanced. Sometimes people are the reason animals are endangered and there is something we can do differently or to help and sometimes... it's not people and we may not be able to fix the problem.
