It’s okay
I have very thick long wavy hair that I often allow to air dry. On the second day of a wash the waves start looking like a frizzy mess. This brush smoothed the nest and was a big time saver. It didn’t leave my hair polished looking or even completely straight but it my hair did look a lot better and the process was so easy. It was just like brushing my hair slowly. My 30 year old niece has really long (past her butt cheeks) wavy think hair with the same texture as mine. And styling her hair is a bit too much for her as a mother of 5 kids. She saw this in my bathroom and started brushing out her hair. Similar results. A huge improvement and super quick and easy. Her oldest daughter is 15 and quickly picked up the brush when she finished. Her much shorter hair was done in a couple of minutes. This product takes hair with very little time and effort. It doesn’t take out all the waves but absolutely makes doing one’s hair easier. Both my niece and grand niece want this for Christmas.

easy to use and it works great
It's a quick way to straighten your hair. It doesn't leave the ends unnaturally pin straight like a regular flat iron can. My hair seems less damaged and it has yet to burn me (unlike a flat iron). I would highly recommend.

Not a miracle tool, reasonable for the price
Social media hype had me believing that this is a miracle tool that would straighten my curly frizzy hair with one swipe. This is most definitely not true.I have naturally curly thick medium length hair that I usually blow-dry straight with a giant round brush after air drying to 80% dry. I was hoping I could use this on dry hair and make that process faster. What I don't like:- It takes at least three passes to get reasonably straight hair.- It's difficult to maintain any tension when combing through, results will not be sleek right off the bat. I'm fine with this because I don't like the super flat iron look anyway, but this tends to leave my blowout looking a little amateurish with random kinks and frizz.- Will work only on dry hair. What I do like:- Very lightweight and quiet.- Heats up quickly.- Doesn't seem to damage my hair: I used at 410F.- Small size makes it useful for travel.- Dual voltage.- Works great to touch up already blow-dried/straightened hair. For the price of $30, it's a decent tool to have. I used it to touch up my blow-dried hair on 2nd/3rd day. I will also carry this with me on short trips in case my hair gets a little curly (yay humidity). But it won't be replacing my blow dryer for every day use. And I can't rely on this solely for longer trips.

It’s great
This makes quick work of getting kinks or unwanted waves out of the hair. Heats up very quickly, it’s very safe because it’s difficult to get your hands in a situation where they would come in direct contact with the heated surface. The dual voltage is fantastic for travel. The brush looks nice. It straightens the hair but it’s difficult to make it curve the ends. It’s very easy, while using it, to inadvertently push the temperature buttons, they are very sensitive and their location makes this likely to happen. Once you’re aware of this it’s easy to find a way to hold it to prevent that from happening, though you must be mindful of that.

Faster at smoothing than any other tool
This hot comb heats up fast. I like the digital temperature gage as I like knowing exactly what temperature I’m using - it goes to 450 degrees which is what works best for me to straighten my curly hair. It takes about 30% of the time to smooth compared to using my DNA flat iron, Dyson Air Wrap and Revlon air brush. Sometimes I don’t care if my hair comes out straight or wavy, I just want to delete frizz. This does that quickly. To get my hair smooth I hold the ends then relatively slowly move the hot comb/brush with pressure from root to end. I won’t buy a hot tool that doesn’t at least 425 degrees. In the past I’ve had to buy pro tools at beauty supply stores as no hair tool in a drugstore could smooth my corse curly hair. This works like a pro tool = great. I find that it smooths the cuticle so it can stay smooth a bit longer than a simple blow out.
