The Illustrated Christmas Carol: 200th Anniversary Edition

I have wanted this book for awhile and when I saw it, I had to order it. The only disappointment for me was that the book does not have a hard cover. However, it's still a great book to have on your coffee table at Christmas. This is a great old-fashioned book and everyone should have a copy of this in their home at Christmas! Don't hesitate to order this.

This easy to read, book is a great reminder of how important it is to live each day with gratitude, joy and love of neighbor and self. It is a timeless piece written by one of the greatest writers of all times. From the the very first paragraph, one is captivated by the beautiful prose. It will become an annual ritual for me. share it with those you love.

Every year at this time I try to read a version of the story of Scrooge and the Christmas carol. This is a great version and has lots of illustrated pictures. It's written in the older English but that still is great because you learnt new words and some new thoughts. It's fun to read The original version and The different stories that were left out of the movies.

The saying is true, “the books better!” Bought this for the Christmas season to read as a family at night. Did not realize how short the book is, chapters are long but we’ll worth reading a chapter a night to the family before bed. Amazing how a book over 200 years old still resonates and a timeless classic. The writing and message, absolutely brilliant! The illustrations are great for little ones to keep attentive (few throughout the book) and for those who love a good illustration.Beyond happy with this purchase. Being an avid reader myself and creating little avid readers this was a great buy. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to read a classic, remember what Christmas is really about, or a good read.

Extremely well done for a paper back. The sketches are a great copy as well. I bought a few copies for the family. If you are looking for an original first-print copy, except to pay around $80,000, lol.

The illustrations were very nice and in keeping with time frame. Very nice.

I sent this to two long-time friends in different states in late Nov. Lots of words/phrases from yesteryear we all confessed to looking up some of them after our one-time e-book club to discuss it. Since then, we've had several e-happy hours and will continue to do so. Hat tip to Mr. Dickens for reuniting us to the original story :)

Read this book again for the first time. Pay attention to every word. I took the online course of this book with Hillsdale college and boy did the instructor make this book pop. This is a life changing book, when you read it with the class. It is a book of change and hope. There is hope while you are still living to change your life for the best. Change the direction you are traveling now and follow Jesus.

A real gem, from the hard cover , the font, the quality of the pages to the beautiful illustrations. Love it.

I’ve bought this to give to my wife at Christmas so I don’t know if it’s good or not. Looks ok.
