Idle Air Speed Control Valve Replacement for Yamaha IAC ISC Outborad HP 115HP F115 LF115 Idle air Control Solenoid Stepping Stepper Motor 68V1312A00-00

My Yamaha F115 wouldn't idle or even stay running. I bought this part and swapped it in. Now the boat starts and runs and I can use it, but it seems to be idling faster and faster when not in gear. I may order a refurbished OEM part and see if it works better than this one does.

This fits early models (2003-2005 timeframe) of the Mercury 115 elpt fuel injected engine. Although Mercury no longer make this part, unknown to many people Yamaha produced the top end for these early model Mercury motors. The only available Mercury version I found online was over $400. It feels good having saved so much--my research paid off!

I was skeptical because this IAC didn’t make the shutdown rattling noise which is supposed to be an indication that it’s not stuck or dead. To my surprise it is working great. My idol maintained after long hard running and then dropping down to neutral fast. I can’t get my engine to stall now. Good stuff.
