good fun but not great
I do like the big fish games, but this one is alittle easy and some of the graphics could have been better. The best hidden object games are the MYSTERY CASE FILES games they have great graphics, lots of puzzle solving great locations and lots of hidden objects.

It's actually quite good!
Worked well on windows 7, 64-bit. At first I thought it needed more color, or lighting, or something. But then I realized that when I'm tired and want to play a less intense game, that this is a perfect game. It has lots of hidden objects.

Very Easy Adventure & Puzzles, Basically it's a Hidden Object Game
The game begins with a narration. Stan and his two friends make a bet that Stan wouldn't go into the haunted manor house by himself:"Everybody knew the stories about the abandoned house on the edge of town. But nobody dared disturb it... Except poor Stan Riddle. You see, Stan had one weakness, he couldn't resist a bet. Neither Stan nor his friends could have foreseen the consequences of their latest wager. At the end of the corridor, a full-length mirror beckoned Stan to peer inside... And when he did, his reflection stared back at him with another's eyes. Suddenly the mirror splintered, sending shards flying. Stan Riddle had just been taken prisoner by the Lord of Mirrors."You play as Stan. Your task is to find all the shards of the mirror and re-assemble it, after which you can escape the Manor. Every once in a while, the Lord of Mirrors appears and urges you to stop. But other than that, there really is no story line to speak of.I purchased "Haunted Manor: Lord of Mirrors" because it's billed as a "Hidden Object Adventure" game. I really like combination games, The Ravenhearst series being my favorite. This game barely qualifies as a combination game. The adventure/inventory objectives are not only self-evident, the game tells you what to do next. I counted 12 pure puzzles, but, again, they are so easy that they simply don't qualify as puzzles. For example, there's one where you have a wall carving with inlaid colors making a design. There are nine rotating discs set into the design, and you rotate each disc until it's in the right position to complete the design. There is no brainwork involved at all, as you just rotate the set discs. If they had wanted to make this a real puzzle, the discs would have been removed into a pile, and you would have to figure out where each of the nine discs go.This really is simply a hidden object game. If you like pure hidden object games, then you will love "Haunted Manor: Lord of Mirrors". I counted 46 hidden object scenes, so there's a lot of them.If you are like me, though, nothing but hidden object scenes gets tedious. I like hidden object scenes as a break from puzzles and adventure objectives, not as the whole purpose of the game.I played on a PC XP with no problem. Once installed, you do not need the disc to play. The game automatically saves when you exit, so there will be no problem with "losing" progress. There is a hint button that recharges pretty quickly on the hidden object scenes. You can skip puzzles if you wish.I give the game 3.3 stars, rounded down to 3. The story is "to be continued..." so there will be more Haunted Manor games, but this series is not for me.Happy Reader

Good game.
My wife and I enjoyed playing this game. We played the casual mode but you can play a more difficult version on the disc. Played on an WinXP laptop with no problems.

Great game!
I enjoyed playing this game. I'm not great with the shoot-em up games and this game was right up my alley. The puzzle solving is fun and entertaining and a good distraction after a hard day at work.

A little boring
This game is not up to snuff with most of the games I purchase. It tends to be a little boring and you figure out the plot before you are suppose to.
