VIEW Swimming Gear V-500 Platina Swim Goggles

I'm a 62yrs old, 6' 1" 225lb man that attempts to swim indoor laps for approximately 30-40min five days a week.These goggles arrived in a quality carrying case and came equipped with three variable size nose straps. WHAT'S MOST IMPRESSIVE IS THEY ARE A VERY NICE LOOKING STOUT GOGGLE . THE STRAP IS STRONG AND STOUT - PERFECT FIT - NO FOGGING DURING MY ENTIRE 40min SWIM - NO LEAKS !!! Best $13 bucks I spent in quite some time.

I put these on and they fit, no adjusting, no leaking, no pinching. I was amazed. My teenage son plays water polo and uses them for warm up and he said they fit him well too. Unfortunately his were stolen so I won't buy more until he has a locker. I cannot understand how other goggles sell when these work so well. I've tried so many different kinds and these are the best. I usually put off reviewing things but I was anxious to review this one because I want people to know there are goggles that work really well. My eyes stay dry, they don't fog up and I don't have circles on my face when I'm done.

I've had two pairs of these so far. It took some fiddling on both to get the proper nose width to keep them from leaking. For the third pair, I will hopefully remember to just look at the old ones and use the same width. The width of the lens is nice and wide enough to see where I am going. They are relatively comfortable, don't leave me with too extreme a case of racoon eyes, and the anti fog holds up for a few months on the first set, less on the second. Just make sure you wash after wearing to keep that going....

They are good at suctioning over the eyes. I see very clearly under water. the straps slipped out a couple times but overall very good goggles.

Quality appears excellent for the price point. Problem is that these are not for anyone with deep set eyes/high nasal bridge. It does come with three different nose pieces, but the difference is that they are wider, not "taller."These weren't even close to fitting my facial structure. If you have a "typical" northern European nose, look elsewhere. I recommend Swedish style goggles if you don't want to crush your nasal bridge, but those can be finicky too. Might be best to go to a swim shop and try on goggles.Eian

These goggles are high quality and come with various sizes of nose bridge so you can adjust them to fit the spacing of your eyes. Of course everyone's face is a different shape, but if these are a good shape for you I highly recommend them. We use them in open water swimming and they hold up well over time.

These are very comfortable swim goggles. They seal well, but don't squeeze your eyeballs out. With the three different sizes of nosepieces, they can be tailored to many different sized faces. The eyepieces can also be swapped out for corresponding corrective lenses. Like most goggles, the strap is rubbery and can yank out hairs, but that's not serious. Very good. I would recommend them.

After about 3 uses of these goggles, one of the side clips slid off and was lost in the pool (they are clear plastic and hard to see). Without these, the strips will not stay in place, making them useless unless I tie the end into a granny knot, which I did. This makes them look awkward and are hard to adjust. Poor design.

Das ist nun schon die dritte View Platina V-500, die ich zu Hause habe: Diese hier in blau ohne optische Gläser und je eine Schwimmbrille mit optischen Gläsern in blau und smokey.Alle Komponenten an der Schwimmbrille wirken qualitativ hochwertig. Das Kopfband lässt sich stufenfrei einstellen und durch die beigelegten Nasenstege in unterschiedlicher Größe (S und L liegen bei, M ist bereits vormontiert) lässt sich der Abstand der Gläser zueinander korrigieren. Der Wechsel des Nasenstegs geht recht schnell und intuitiv von der Hand.Die Gläser selbst sind auch nach außen hin durchsichtig, sodass man beim Schwimmen auf der Bahn leichter andere Schwimmer, die sich von hinten nähern, erkennen kann. Die Gummiumrandung erhöht den Tragekomfort merklich.Ab Werk ist die Schwimmbrille mit einer AntiFog-Beschichtung behandelt. Diese funktioniert anfangs auch sehr gut. Nach ca. 3-4 Schwimmeinheiten ist die Schicht allerdings verschwunden und die Brille beschlägt wieder. Entweder legt man sich für ein paar Euro ein Anti-Beschlag-Spray zu (hilft erfahrungsgemäß für 1-2 Schwimmeinheiten), oder man greift auf die altbewährte Methode "Speichel" zurück.Diese Brille habe ich übrigens für <15 Euro hier auf Amazon erstanden. Die passenden optischen Gläser haben die View-Aktikelnummer VC-510A. Die optischen Schwimmbrillen habe ich bei einem lokalen Optiker für je ca. 27 Euro gekauft.
