I can't imagine that this device has many applications; but it's the kind of thing that, when you need it, you really need it. In my case, I had a Pi sandwiched between two other boards, and I needed to bring out the GPIO headers. There was no easy way to do that with a regular cable, because there just wasn't space. But, with this, I could connect the GPIO cable to the outward-facing set of pins, and that worked fine.The device is well made and, most importantly in my case, is only a tiny bit wider than a standard 40-way cable. This matters because the device has to fit between the Pi mounting pillars, which are only a millimetre or so separated from the GPIO header block. Had this device been even 3mm wider, it wouldn't have fit.So, exactly what I needed. Whether I'll ever need one again, I'm not sure. But I'm glad it was available.

Great way to extend GPIO pins able to add fan and touchscreen for a standalone system. Great workaround.

It worked well apart from a few connections where bad and I had to soldier them for it to work

The connector I received is defective. At least 1 of the solder joints was open circuit. Upon looking at other solder joints I also saw that several other solder joints were bad quality . The re-flow manufacturing process is bad.

Soldering is rubbish and does not it in the case.Don't bother if you want it in a case.

Does what it claims, neat and moderately strong unit
