Fantastic locking system. This device works well with the Thule bike rack or perhaps for some other item you may need to secure. Simple design and easy operation. Long, strong cable.

Kinda short and thin for what I was hoping for.

Good lock and easy to use

Worked great for a new months, then the lock failed. I luckily had someone with heavy duty bolt cutters. The lock mechanism is removable with the key inside it which is not a good design as it allows the PINs to easily be warped or damaged in some way. Its outside the return window so I am now reaching out to Thule for a refund.

I lock my bike up in the garage and when it’s time to ride it easily coils and fits under the seat

We bought this to go with our Thule 5 bike rack. It was recommended by someone else who reviewed the bike rack and it is necessary and perfect. Buy it and it will make your life easier when using the bike rack.

In general, the lock system is OK, and it does the job, but a better locking system could be purchased. The lock system come in a package with lousy instructions for assembly of the lock tumbler to the cable. My first lock could not lock at all, and I had a replacement sent to me, but the new system cable lock barely does much better. The locking lip on the cross piece is small, and it would be opened with a good hammer strike. I am a Thule fan, so I expected more from the product. Thule 538XT 6-Feet One-Key System Cable Lock

Used two of these to lock our kayaks up. Very quickly it became a struggle to get the locks to open, and with one, the barrel became loose and came out of the housing. Last week we were unable to get one of the locks to work at all, and had to angle grind the cable in two to get access to the kayaks. We must have used the locks perhaps half a dozen times, as they were at our holiday caravan. Not the quality I expected for the price.

Basically no protection, all you need is a second one of theses and you can open any other lock by switching the barrel. Pointless product really, I can't believe they sell it

Like I said the bike is still here so it must work. It is quite compact and can chain up both our bikes at the same time to a stationary object. Easy to lock and unlock. Probably easy to break if you wanted to but it looks chunky enough to maybe put someone off. Works for me anyway.
