Love this System
Hi, I bought this for my little girl that is 5 and having difficulty learning her ABC's. She has not seen it yet because it is for Christmas but I have played with it. It is the coolest child game system I have seen yet. We have purchased all of the previous V-smile system and seen the Leapster in action, and this one is far superior!! the touch screen is great and sensitive but not to sensitive. The game that comes with it is fun and has basic educational games that are great! Easy and hard levels. It has great instruction so that a young child could understand. No difficulty setting it up it is ready to play except you need 4 AA batteries, sold seperatly. I love the rubber hand grips and the hidden key board I know that by itself is going to sell my little one. My only regret is that I bought a DS Lite for my 8 year old and not one of these. I know she will be borrowing it!. So cute and so fun!. I received this in only 4 days!! It seems like it is built very sturdy. I am excited to see other games played on it. I want to play it so I know my little ones will. Thanks V-smile!!!

Great game for little girl
I bought the Leapster Explorer for my daughter first because of the deal we had gotten. But returned it right away and got this instead. She LOVES it. She'll play with it for hours. She would rarely sit still for more than a few minutes for me to teach her her colors, shapes and letters. This little game has already taught her shapes like triangles, diamonds etc, in less than half the time it took me to teach her. And she really enjoys it. I love that I can download different games onto it. It also seems like a game that will grow with her. She can't recognize all her letters yet but when she can it will open up a whole new world of games for her. Her 7 year old sister even loves to play it. It is WELL worth the money. The screen is very durable. The entire thing has also been dropped several times and still works great!

Glad we made this purchase
We purchased the pink Mobigo when our kid turned 3. She loves the pre-loaded games and we had no problem downloading other age-appropriate games. The game is sturdy but easy for her to handle. With some initial help, she is now able to turn it on and off and navigate the menu to get to the game she wants. The game has already proved itself a worthy purchase as she played it when we had a long wait at the pediatrician's office. Planning on taking it on the plane during vacation. We also purchased the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse game and the pink carrying case--both were also very good buys. We purchased all three items from Amazon because it had the Mobigo for $10 less than the other stores we looked at, the pink carrying case was sold out in various stores, and shipping was free.

Preschooler loves her "DS"!
My daughter got this for Christmas when she was 4. The games we have are Tangled, Dora, and Disney Fairies. She loves the game that came with the MobiGo just as much, if not more.I recommend buying the hard case to keep it in - it's very sturdy and she has not lost a game yet. I was worried the 3-5 age games would be too easy for her pretty quickly, but since the games have two levels (easy or difficult) that has not been the case. She loves using the keyboard most of all, althought most of the games do not involve keyboard. The one thing we did was give her an old Nintendo DS stylus to use on the touch screen - made her VERY happy and feel big like her sister. It has a great volume controls, the games are easy for her to get in and out, and the touch screen works well for the most part. Probably my only complaint is that it uses 4 AA batteries instead of being rechargable. She keeps an extra set of batteries in her case, which came in very handy on vacation! If you have a preschooler who likes screens and electronics of an older sibling, this might be just the thing for them.

Great for all early learners including autistic children!!!!!
I have purchased this item for both my grandchildren ages 5 and under. This was an amazing experience for my 5 year old autistic grandchild. It has given him self esteem and an opportunity to show to his family his intelligence. He has mastered 2 game discs in one month. He finds it a treat, greatly respects the unit and is eager to show everyone how intelligent he is.I would highly recommend this for any autistic child, the touch screen has increased his ability to draw and trace in certain games. We are amazed at his knowledge of the alphabet. Above, all he enjoys this to no end, giggles when playing at the sound effects and enjoys the challenge of the timed game.Autism creates frustration for the child in being able to communicate that he is intelligent. The mobigo has enabled him to prove this at the early age of five.

Just not too happy with graphics and battery use.
I know it's not a sony handheld or other big names and maybe that's why I wasn't impressed I'm used to those graphics so when my daughter got this I wasn't all that happy but it wasn't for me and she loved it. She was 3 when I got this while she may have liked it I wouldn't recommend for a 3 year old or younger she's almost 4 and just now understanding better how to use these type things and those tablets. I would maybe say 3 1/2 and up but that's even if the games are understandable that was another issue games say 3 and up and I wouldn't agree with that either. Batter usage is horrific I would either recommend some rechargeable or if they have a charger you can get for it I never looked into that because I just got tired of this thing. After 6 months of use the speaker started going bad too and the graphics got worse because the screen was getting bad. I wouldn't recommend this based on what we experienced.

Great toy - great disappointment -
My granddaughter loved it - but it died in less than one day ! It died for no reason - it was not dropped or abused in any way!
