Do you detect any hard crunchy pieces when eating something with this in? My current McCormick does :(

So far I have really liked the flavor and have not detected any pieces. I have used this in my apple pies and in my alfredo sauce. Of course in each instance it was only 1/2 tsp.

Is this irradiated? Thanks

The label doesn't say.But it is certified organic. According to these sites certified organic cannot be irradiated:http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_11535.cfmhttp://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/11/05/why-are-your-spices--seasonings-exposed-to-half-a-billion-chest-xrays-worth-of-radiation.aspx

is this vanilla extract contains alcohol?

to my knowledge there is no vanilla extract or alcohol in nutmeg

Where does this come from

This is taken from their website: "Native to Asia and Australasia, today nutmeg is commercially cultivated in Indonesia, Malaysia, Grenada, and Sri Lanka. It was introduced to Sri Lanka in 1804, the Caribbean island of St. Vincent in 1802, and Grenada in 1843. Grenada continues to be a leading producer."
