Definitely worth the money
Very happy with this product. It’s very straight-forward to use and not even the least bit noisy. I’d actually say it makes the same kinda noise as a beard trimmer. The main things I think your pet would need to get used to are the vibrations going up their toes and the slight smell of the ground nails.I got this for my whippet, who is otherwise PETRIFIED of having her nails clipped. So much so, that even touching her paws and nails for “too long” will cause her to get suspicious about what you’re up to and move away. And getting her clippers out makes her straight-up bolt. She squirms and wriggles away constantly whenever I try to trim her nails, so it’s a very tricky process and not something I want to put her through often, so decided to try a grinder. I didn’t know if she’d accept it, so I bought a cheaper one just in case. This keeps her so much calmer, just by trying little bits at a time - and it’s always a great idea to play with them before and after to tire them out first and then reward them for being so good. With this, she even got to the point where she would stand still for me and even lay down as I’d work on one nail at a time (very gruelling but worth her not feeling so scared). As you can see by the photo, she is a LOT calmer with this switched on than she would be if I just had her clippers in my hand… in fact, she wouldn’t have even been in the photo at all, you’d just a dust cloud outline of her body.I love the fact that the grinder itself will slow down/stop if enough pressure is applied. So there’s less chance of you hurting your pooch. The only “negative” I have with this is that I would say it’s better suited for smaller pets with thinner/less dense nails, as my whippet’s claws are thick and require more time to grind down. Aside from that, I’d highly recommend it.

Surprised how good this is
I hate clipping our dogs nails as I’m always worried I’ll hurt them, so this seemed a safer alternative. So I thought I’d give this a try.Dogs were a bit nervous at first but I kept slowly working on each claw with lots of treats and play time in between. The low noise and choice of speed helped and the device itself is easy to hold. The dogs were unsure at first but I think in time they will get used it if I keep sessions short but often. My one gripe is it seems no replacement heads available, so although I may not need one for a while - if I do, I’d have to buy a whole new unit.

Seems good
I only got it yesterday.. charged and tried in the evening.. my pup hates her feet being touched due to her breaking her toes as a baby. I've tried to trim them with clippers and at the vets but she's fights to get away .. sue still wasn't sure when i showed her the grinder letting her sniff it. And as soon as I held her foot she wiggled... managed to do one nail as a test she wasn't impressed but let me do the other toes all as test so she get used to it.. I got the sharp points off atleast.. felt less stressful for me doing it too. Which obviously plays on them to act up.. so with time and practice will be much more pleasant experience for her

Absolutely fabulous
Review for PetureI was a little sceptical about buying this product having already purchased nail clippers for my dog. However, I was recommended to try this product, having used it for the last seven days I am absolutely bowled over with the results. It took some time to get Theo (my Dalmatian dog) used to the idea of using an electric file on his nails, but after using a few carefully placed treats and a very calm environment he soon got used to the idea of having his nails manicure. I did have a confidence issue with myself about doing some damage to his nails, but the guard which is supplied with the unit was extremely effective. It prevented me from doing any damage to his nail bed. (Unlike the clippers I purchased previously). When are used my dog nail clippers on him I accidentally clipped the wick which caused some bleeding.I introduced him to file by allowing him to watch me do my own nailThe added bonus is you can manicure your own nails as well as the dogs.I can wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend this product for your dog, and as a bonus it works perfectly well on human nails and is a great product to use.I normally pay £12 every few months to have my dog nails clipped (£12 per session)This has save me a considerable amount of money by doing it myself. Also, it’s become a very pleasurable experience for both me and my dog.He is absolutely fascinated by watching me do my nails, and then presents himself for his manicure/pedicure.Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous
This is the bestI don't much like doing my little pooches nails with the clippers and neither does she she will pull away from me in a constant struggle and I am so scared that I will cut too far but qit this file she sat there and let me do three feet she is an anxious little girl and is scared of the noise rhat the oven makes but I was so impressed by how calm she was and I read lots of customers wrote about the smell but I wasn't too bad it dissipated quite quicklyI would definitely recommend to others to buy these as they are really good and sturdy I notices as a safety feature that they stop if too much pressure is put on the stoneIt's a shame that you cannot buy replacement stones but for the price I would gladly buy a whole new unit absutely fantastic. .

Great for keeping dog nails groomed
Device comes pre charged so I could use it straight out the box. Has 2 settings for speed and they’re decent, could possibly do with a third but not essential. It’s light and doesn’t make much noise. My puppy was happy to sit there and be pampered even though he’d never seen it before
