This Yale lock is used on an outside gate, it is very good quality and a snug lock fit on a shoot bolt catch. It is easy to lock and unlock and I keep it well oiled in the mechanism and against the elements (it's metal, so of course it might rust a bit!) and it does the job well. I would recommend it to a friend.

I've had two of these. This is a fairly reliable lock in spring/summer but it's not suited to outdoor use in the UK over autumn/winter. Seizes up too easily in the wet+cold, even with regular oiling
