Do not buy this no matter how appealing the price looks.
Apparently High tech means "we don't know how to write instructions." I should have cancelled when I accidentally cancelled. The diffuser pump doesn't work. The plug must be for show. I ordered another diffuser because I really don't want to go through the aggravation of setting this up again. The holder that is supposed to hold the diffuser pump in the tank is poorly designed and the diffuser comes out of it with a slight bump. I have dealt with highly complex aquarium products for over 40 years. This simply shouldn't have been this difficult.

Fell apart after 1 minute
The impeller magnet was not properly glued from the factory and became dislodged. It needed to be re-glued. Bought new received used.

This item was last made in 2008
I purchased one of these off of ebay & tried using the disposable 88gram tanks but soon realized that this was ineficiant as the tanks run out really fast. Plus I'm not sure if you can even purchase Hydor's Co2 anymore, I bought a pellet gun tank and screwed it on and ran 1-4 bubbles and the tank lasted maybe two weeks.I then purchased the adapter so that I could hook it up to a paintball tank but this was somewhat of a headache because I had Co2 leaking all over. So after a few trips for refills I finally figured out how to not lose Co2.All in all this is an ok system, it's a step up from the fluval Co2 system ( which I also own ) The one nice thing that this system has that the fluval does not is an extra adapter so that you can hook it up to a 5LB or 10LB tank which saves you the headache of going to fill up Co2 as often.if you do buy this setup, purchase this adapter http://www.amazon.com/Hydra-Aquatic-CO2-Paintball-Adapter/dp/B008ZAAP2K/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1391832860&sr=1-1&keywords=co2+adapterand not the other CGA adapter ( its usually green or blue) as I have found with 2 adapters there is more risk for leakage. If I knew now what I didn't know then, I would have just spent the extra 40 or 50 bucks and just bought a Milwaukee regulator and saved myself a lot of frustration.I've owned this for a few months now so I cant say how long it will last, it appears to be well made but time will tell.

Hmmm... for this kind of price it ...
Hmmm... for this kind of price it may be worth your while. I am running it with 74g cartridges, and those are lasting me 4-6 weeks on a 29g tank. However, it is fair to say this is a discontinued product (out of production since 2008), and some parts are still available, but not all, so you'll run it until it breaks, and then it will be time for a serious CO2 system. One or the problems is that regulating it is finicky, and you have to checkup on it with some regularity and adjust it. It can be done, and right now it serves me because it's cheap, but long term I want a serious CO2 system.
