Installs like any other ARC fault or Ground Fault Breaker and much smaller than older ones!
Installs like any other ARC fault or Ground Fault Breaker and much smaller than older ones! Please shut your power off before attempting the installation of this. Even with the main breaker off, if that breaker is in the breaker box you are working on the main line from the pole will still be live. For this to be installed correctly both the HOT(BLACK) and NEUTRAL(WHITE) that supply the circuit need to go to the Breaker itself. The coiled white wire that comes attached to the breaker needs to go to the NEUTRAL BAR. It is best to have someone qualified to do the work. If you are nervous working in the breaker box, you should probably have someone with the confidence they won't get shocked to the work.

Works and good price
Accurately detected ground faults via my tester. The price is really good: it is cheaper than using a CAFCI breaker with a GFCI outlet, and avoids the unsightly look of a GFCI outlet.

Less than 1 Star actually
I am p/o'd... figure I had a bad Murray AFCI. Ordered from Amazon (usual great service). Breaker arrives, no problem. Pop out the old breaker. In with the new one. What? Still tripping? Okay check all 14 outlets on the circuit and can't find any issues. Get the electrician over as figure he can spend his time figuring it out. 3 hours and $225 later he swaps out that brand new breaker with another one. Everything fine and I learn Murray/Siemens Philippines Assembled AFCI is a DOA PIECE OF JUNK... Think before you buy from this company. Not my first time having problems with Murray equipment!

Fits GE Breaker Box
This fit perfectly in our GE breaker box. Although it is a Siemens, it fit the GE box. I don't think it meets the UL requirements for compatibility, which the best I can tell require all components (box and breakers) to be the same brand.

Functions as described.
Functions as described. Physically and functionally identical to the Siemens-labeled device (though UL rating only applies if you use this in a Murray panel)

High failure rate Murray breaker
I bought six of the Murray afci/gfci breakers. Three of them failed their self test. That is an unaceptable failure rate. Worse the documentation that these come with is poor. I also installed some Square D breakers in a sub panel and they all worked and have extensive documentation. E.G. The gfci from Square D included a calender tag to note testing. (It wasnt self testing.) The Murray has only one line stating if both diodes flash continuously, replace the breaker. If I didn't have a Murray board I wouldnt use these breakers. They dont inspire confidence.
