It’s fast and easy to control. I’m very pleased with it.
Why did you choose this product over others?:I done a lot of research for an induction hob and this was a good write up and affordable.

I have been using this hob for three months now and I’m delighted with it.
I bought this for use in our campervan and I’ve found that its versatility is excellent. The power control is good for simmering through to boiling, which is does surprisingly quickly. I would guess that this is because all of the heat is produced in the bottom of the pan unlike on a gas hob where lots of heat goes up around the sides of the pan. Another advantage of this is that you can leave your spatula in the pan without its handle getting hot.So, all the things which they say in the advert are true as far as I can see but you can also use it as a mini oven.I have cooked quiches in it by heating a dry saucepan on a temperature setting of 70ºC until I hear the power turn off which means that the temperature sensor under the glass is at that temperature. Then I turned it up to 80ºC, then 90ºC and so on until I got to 120ºC. If you don’t do this, if you just start at 120ºC, the pan will get very hot while the heat is creeping through to the sensor. Then put the quiche in the pan for 20 minutes or whatever.Similarly you can do this to warm up croissants. As I say, I bought it for the campervan but I find it so good that I use it all the time at home in the kitchen instead of the gas hob.

So far - the best portable induction hob I have ever owned.
I wouldn't call this neat - it's quite substantial compared to the last one I had - but it is tons better. Previously I've had problems sustaining a low, even heat for sauces etc, as food would heat up too high during the pulses. Well one of the first tests for this was slow cooked porridge. I used the power setting rather than the temperature one and achieved the perfect porridge with no sticking or burning. But it will also boil quickly if that's what you want. So far - a big thumbs up from me!

Control!
Had a cheaper one before and was sick of the lack of control at lower temperatures (1000w for 1s, off for 3s) which would ruin rice. Lowest continuous power of this one is 660w and the pulse for lesser powers seems more regular. Also, temperature control option is pretty accurate. If used with a decent, thick-based pan then all good! Photo is from a 32cm pan. Too big for it really. Smaller pans distribute the heat much better. All the usual benefits of induction, obviously.

Had it for a year now. Update - the good and the bad
Over a year on - this hob has lasted with quite a lot of use, and still cleans so easily, with just a wipe with a damp cloth after each use. It's light enough to pick up and put away in a cupboard between uses. It heats very quickly to a high temperature and goes low enough to just keep warm too. Now for the downside. I often use a frying/saute pan with a 22cm base. This does NOT work well. The outer ring marked on this hob might give you the impression it will heat to that size pan. It doesn't. It heats around 5 inches in the centre. The food in the outside areas of the pan will not cook like the centre, and thus you find the centre of expensive induction pans are all burning and have a dark circle in the middle where they have been damaged with a high temperature but the outside is still like factory finish because the pan simply hasn't heated outside that small ring it shows. Yes, you can put bigger pans on but nothing will cook! Looking at other makes, it seems this is common with induction hobs made for the home cook. They have a coil in that only is as big as that middle circle. They all say how a bigger pan can be used, but food won't cook unless you keep drawing it to the middle which you can with something like a stir fry, but not pancakes or something that needs leaving flat until it's cooked. Even 6 fried eggs will cook in the middle of the pan but the outside few inches won't. If you want something that is going to heat a larger base, it seems you need to go for the commercial pans. The second issue with this, and I've had two of these now and they're both the same, is that you leave something simmering at a certain level and the timer on for say 10 minutes. Half way through the level of heat changes and it goes on to full! Not good.

A superb product
For the past few years I have heavily used a table top Induction Hob made by a different manufacturer. I searched online for a Hob that had finer low temperature adjustment for better simmering. I came across the Duxtop 9600LS and decided to buy one.Firstly I would say that after using it for a few days and become familiar with it the Hob is a doddle to use. I am chiefly using the power values of 0.5 to 10 rather than the temperature settings. The leaflet that comes with the Hob gives clear instructions for the touch controls. Once you have learned that the Lock function activates and deactivates when you touch the ikon for more than a couple of seconds and that the timer setting toggles between minutes and hours you are well on the way to knowing all you need to know. The Power default setting of 5.0 seems to correspond to a Temperature setting of 160°c which is quite a high setting. I use lower settings than these to simmer curries.I have not had other reviewers experience of the heat setting jumping from a low value to Maximum.Provided that your pans are definitely suitable for Induction cooking you should not witness the E0 error when the pan is in the Hob.Other commenters have stayed that this Hob is quite noisy. It does not appear to be much different to my old Hob. They have fans and the noise is simply fan noise.I am extremely pleased with my purchase. If you haven’t tried Induction cooking I would recommend this particular item.
