Star Trek The Official Discovery Starships Collection | Section 31 Ship with Magazine Issue 28 by Eaglemoss Hero Collector

I bought this at the best price I've ever seen for this particular model. The dark colors and angles make the ship look sinister but it still has the telltale Federation look. This may seem like the most random sentence ever uttered but if Batman ever had a line of starships in Star Trek, these Section 31 ships would be them. The model does have some plastic parts, and typically I like the ones that are mostly die cast the most, but the blue plastic inserts on the nacelles make it look even better, and the mount actually holds the ship securely, unlike many of the Eaglemoss models. Very happy with this one.

The Nimrod (Not what I would have chosen for a name) is at a glance pretty large, but most of that is empty length due to the nacelles, the actual ship is about average for the discovery line. Which means nothing, since some of the discovery ships are oddly large (Buran) and others are oddly small (Klingon Cleave Ship). It's also slightly on the thinner side, the saucer section is very thin.Construction-wise, the ship is mostly plastic and the long nacelles seem a bit fragile. Aside from that, the seams are barely noticeable, it fits well into its stand, and it's stable. The paint is great, and the nacelles have really nice blue accents to them.All in All, I'm happy with this ship and have no complaints.

I've collected a few of these Eaglemoss models over past few years. I think half of them I did order thru Amazon. Unfortunately, this purchase is the only model i have where the QC is less than ideal. As i was removing this from box to display on shelf i noticed a obvious amount of glue on one of the nacelle connection points. Not a big enough problem for me to want to send it back but it certainly stood out compared to my other starship models. Also, this one doesnt fit as snuggly into the pclear lastic display holder so I have to be extremely careful when moving it.

I ordered this to add to my collection of Section 31 ships. The 2 nacelle destroyer of the same collection is great. There is however more plastic on that one and this one than I care for, and therein lies the problem. I was sitting at my desk at home, where these are placed and was arranging them when I dropped this one on the desk and one of the top nacelles popped off. It wasn’t even held on there with good glue. I can fix it but, you would expect a bit more durability for something that cost this much.

The ship arrived with one of the back pieces broken off. Not sure if it was because of the shipping or if it happen before it was package. Very disappointed for such an expensive ship.
