Fun ADD-ON to the original game Plus Citie and Knights
Loved the added dimension to the game. Saw others griping about the fact it isn't a stand alone game (every though it says all over the box and description that the two games are needed for this addition). It takes some extra time to set up and experience at the baser games are a must, but if you are a fan of Catan but are getting worn out from lack of variety this may be your answer.

Fun expansion to take Catan to the next level
My husband loves this game and loves to play it with his friends. After one game, they picked it up pretty quickly. If you want a fun change to Catan, this will do the trick.

Quality is great, and the game is fun, but I am not a big fan of legacy type games.

Doesn’t come with full boarder.
The game is very fun but it’s doesn’t come with the full water boarder which would make it much nicer. I had to use pieces from regular catan to fill in the space.

Not our favorite version Catan
Our family has the base version of Catan, Catan Seafarers, Catan Cities and Knights, Catan Rivals, this version (Legend of the Conquerors), and the dice version of Catan. We have played through all 3 chapters of this game; and this is our least favorite version of all the Catan options we have. There are several new rules, many of which were hard to understand. We tried to find a YouTube video explaining the game and it was hard to find. Plus the set up and breakdown for this version takes forever; you have to have pieces from the base game, cities and knights and all the pieces from this game (Legends of the Conquerors). The concept is interesting and offers a few new tweaks for a new flavor, but ultimately I do t think we will play this very much. All of the other versions that we have are much more playable. I would only recommend this one for people that have all the more regular versions of Catan and have plenty of money to spend on a one time playthrough game.
