Stagg 6 String Solid-Body Electric Guitar, Right, Natural, Full (SES-60 NAT)

I originally purchased this guitar back in May of 2021... This is a true alder body and flame necked guitar with nice appointments, the tuners are solid, and it does hold tune. I'm really impressed with the pick ups and the push pull pot is a nice feature that you won't find on other guitars at this price point. With everything this guitar offers its hard to beat. This is a great guitar to learn on and upgrade over time, a guitar you can grow with. I did have to adjust the action to my liking, but that's a given when you buy guitars online. I own several guitars, Shecter, Fender, Squire,... But the SES-60 has become my primary guitar now, simply because of its versatility and tone, I thought I would need to do a pickup swap by now but I don't think that's necessary, the most surprising thing to me is that others haven't caught on to how good these guitars actually are once they are set up, the Stagg SES series is one of the most under rated and under stated guitars out there in my opinion.There is a you tube video that did a side by side next to an actual Fender that costs way more than the Stagg, the Stagg SES-30 series sounded much better, and really surprised the reviewer, so I'm giving a nod to Staggs QC here as I have had a similar experience.In my original review I was a bit miffed and put out because there was a small, very small crack in the finish on the body, where the neck meets the body, but I can attest this has not affected the aesthetics nor the performance of the SES-60 and I have grown accustomed to this...'Beauty mark'. 5***** Stars.

Alright, so the neck and body of this are fantastic. Which is why I bought the guitar. Alder body and roasted maple neck for $200 is awesome. That being said, I’ve replaced the tuning machines, pickups and electronics and will soon be changing the trem system. If you’re into modding, this is an awesome platform. If you’re buying this as a complete guitar, it’s ‘everything else’ besides the neck and body are fairly beginner level. But hey, it’s $200!
